keep your ranged maxed for your attack and strength if you can. Tip.it has a decent combat calculator so you can work out what levels you can gain without gaining combat levels

I have thought about it before but I find it incredibly annoying when people smite vs me and I really dont wana do that to somone else.

Try not to triple post, even if you're lagging don't click more than once.

But don't get 60 attack until you're 70+ strength or you'll get owned by rangers.

The main reason it won't work is because defence in f2p is basically useless. If you were going p2p, you could get 85+ range and go ahead and get 45 defence, but in f2p it won't work well.

Anyways....Why are you getting melee when your a ranger?

Just keep on with range it is fast and powerful...you can still own f2p with a bit of defence...ovbiously you wont be the most range or hits for your level but its not like ur no good.
Get 50 range
5/10 for now go pick up studded body and green chaps and vambs

Tom's latest abomination, spent about 2 days total on him so far

As the name suggests, I'm keeping him f2p. Going to get 40 att, 60-70 str and maybe 70 range if I can be bothered to train that in f2p, not training prayer or magic for now. He's 27 combat.

By the way, I got that hat from someone who died to a river troll while I was fishing XD

I have them in inventory
And I'm training melee because I can without gaining combat levels, and some hp xp too.
