As you said, there's a good chance visitors to this site are over twenty years old. So, assuming you also fall into this category, that means as an adult, you also have to attempt to be a functioning member of society.
Based on your arrogant posts which were strictly designed to aggravate readers, I doubt you will succeed in many aspects of your life. Unless you smarten up, I anticipate you having a difficult time at the workplace, and also struggling at maintaining serious relationships.

However, best of luck with your personal issues.
I hope that next time the two of you decide to come around, it will be after you've matured.

Because my RV personality coincides 100% with real life. Your argument is overly-emotional, and quite presumptuous, that after 2-3 posts on the internet that you somehow know my psyche to the point of predicting my interpersonal relationships on all levels in my life. Get over yourself.

I'll just leave this here:

Proletariat wrote:
Internet integrity is an interesting concept. It inclines those which have formulated internet opinions to withhold from admitting their mistakes or exposing their false assumptions within these opinions on the basis that they will somehow be embarrassed within the social sphere of the internet. From my perspective, one lightning storm or a strong wind knocks the social sphere of the internet clear out of existence (I use wireless), so I try to concentrate any time spent on the internet on websites like Runevillage (As I am busier than can be described within these parentheses) doing two things.

1.) Not caring about you
2.) Not caring about myself

The reason for doing both of these things while browsing websites like Runevillage is because:

1.) Runevillage has nothing to offer me in the means of well educated perspective,

Well Market Man, congratulations, you've made a completely pointless post, completely ignored the main thrust of anything we've said, insulted us personally and claimed to be superior in your form of argument and discourse. I think you might win the award for most ironical statement of all time. Here's a gold star.

ad ho·mi·nem
ˌad ˈhämənəm/
adverb & adjective
1.
(of an argument or reaction) directed against a person rather than the position they are maintaining.
"vicious ad hominem attacks"

To Muscular Ape, yes, it was amusing and made me smile because of how well I renember this type of thing over the years. It's just been so long since I've seen a mod say "Sorry I have to use my mod powers we have to keep it clean" that I felt a reminiscent smile of stupidity over the ages and a nostalgic sense of pity for runevillage crease my features with a laugh. I don't expect you to understand, I suppose it's more of an inside joke.

Since the main thrust of what I've said has been completely ignored, I think it's best if you two just eliminate yourselves from embarrassing yourselves any further and leave posting room for anyone who has anything relevant to say. Just my advice though, I wouldn't want to silence you or edit your posts or prevent you posting at all just because I think every word you write is total buffoonery.

buf·foon·er·y
bəˈfo͞onərē/
noun
behavior that is ridiculous but amusing.

Yes, but an online personality is a lot different from a regular irl person.

Hikers online personality seemed to not be a perverted type of a person.

I can also detest to my online personality vs my in real life personality. I am more of a troll on the internet than in real life. If I trolled in person I would be liable to get my ass kicked.

Fuzzy Bunny real life though, on here I can't get my ass kicked.

You dudes can super-quote and super-rebuttal all you want, and it just. doesn't. matter. Nobody wants to waste energy dissecting and answering every sentence you cry out. It doesn't make us less intelligent, or you more, or Hiker alive again to fully explain every single moment of his life, or Jaron less of The Boss on his own website.

I didn't really want to add to this because I still strongly stand by this post, but I feel I owe you a reply even if you probably don't want to hear it.
Suicide Messiah wrote:
No, I've never had the free time to spare doing a "job" for free on the internet.... Also, thousands? Really? Was there ever a day where there was 1000+ unique posters on RV... ever?
I didn't mean in a single day, but I dunno. Maybe! The Market stalls were hella active in 2004-2006. The Internet Archive Wayback Machine used to have better copies that showed every forum had a post within the last 5 minutes no matter when you looked, but it seems a lot of their snapshots have gone missing. It's kind of a shame.

But within a week, most definitely; we had so many users back then that Frogger pruned the userlist, like, twice.
Suicide Messiah wrote:
Secondly: WHat nation or ethnic group consists of mainly child molesters?
Yeah, I thought that too, but for whatever reason Google defines genocide as "the deliberate killing of a large group of people, especially those of a particular ethnic group or nation.", and since it says especially instead of exclusively I just added "loose" onto the front of it. It sounded more apt than the mass homicide/massacre/etc synonyms. Dictionary.com appears to disagree with me, though, so I'll concede I probably misspoke.
Suicide Messiah wrote:
It's no secret I basically despise pretty much every mod here and Hiker, why you people all feel the need to defend him posthumously must be to consult your own feel goods of most likely saying/thinking the same things that you're now acting offender over.
Oh goodness no, I'm not, have not, and will never defend the things he did that got him in such trouble. However, I worked very closely with him for many years, and never once did he come across as suggestive or creepy to me, and through all my years as an administrator I never had anyone come to me with anything similar. That's why the news was such a shock to us all. So I'll defend the RuneVillage-related things he did, sure, because not once did I ever feel like those personalities crossed.
Suicide Messiah wrote:
The laws of RV never have and never will change. The vast majority of people who come to this website anymore must surely be 20+ by now, and you're telling me it was "bothering" people to the point you had to edit a post?
Most are indeed 20+. But anyone has the ability to report a post, and it's still my duty to the Village to take a look at them. If I think things are starting to cross a line and it's actively making people uncomfortable for good reason, I'll step in.

I would venture to say the 'laws' have changed quite a bit. The old rules would have put him 1/3 of the way to a ban at least, and I only took out the middle sentence of the post instead of the whole thing. I don't want to halt anyone's right to speak their mind, but I also want said discussion to at least be civil.
Suicide Messiah wrote:
You see more detestable things on the evening news than that these days. Hiker himself was more detestable than that comment you edited.
Perhaps. Both are a shame.
Proletariat wrote:
Why is mentioning a gas chamber any worse than mentioning the raping of children? That's the position you've taken, have fun proving it.
Apologies if you thought I edited your post because you mentioned a gas chamber; I did not. I edited it because it essentially said "We should kill every [x] ever ASAP" (see genocide discussion above).
Proletariat wrote:
Are you aware that criminals in the United states were put to death by gas chamber for years? I'm guessing not.
I did, actually! Did you know criminals in Utah were put to death by firing squad as late as 2010? I have, in fact, written papers on capital punishment for different classes.
Proletariat wrote:
Why not just man up and admit you edited my

To my own opinions because you are a mod and I am not? That's all it was really about. It's like telling a dog it can't have people food because you're a person and you're better than the dog, thus the dog needs to be told off and reminded of its place any time it starts getting too close to being on your level. The old "rune village is pg" excuse has been used here by mods to silence people they disagree with for as far back as I can remember, and when you edited my post it actually made me laugh. So at least you can say you amused me, if you can say anything for the sorry state of your reckless need to satisfy your base censorious instincts.
I don't know if you know this, but despite paying for RuneVillage out of my own pocket and being the site administrator, I purposefully avoid using the Site Administrator rank/title because I don't want to come across as outranking anyone. I'm sorry you think I silenced you for my own gain, but if you review my previous posts I hope you'll find that's simply not the case.

The old "RuneVillage is PG" excuse was to protect the thousands of young teenagers RuneScape was attracting in the early 2000s. When moderators used it to silence others on a whim, I assure you I took it up with someone.

I quite agree. Buffoonery is completely allowed and you'll likely find it all over the place. (Advocating massacres, however, not so much.)

I'm pissed at you guys for making Jaron waste so much of his time making that post. This topic should be locked IMHO, it's past its point of productivity. RV should not be a place where bitching at each other is allowed anymore.

Yeah, this isn't 2005 any more; RV drama is kind of embarrassing. Mfw I see whiny, debate-forum-style posts on RV in 2015.

Yeah, I suppose so. I kept it open so people who missed the news like Tom/Glodenox/red archerv could make posts of their own, but it's been almost a year and the ratio of good posts to bad ones has always been a fine line.

Suicide/Proletariat: if you wish to continue our discussion, my inbox will always be open.
