The campaign setting will be my own little blend of the stereotypical fantasy-medieval that's a staple of gaming, with a heavy dose of the Big Brother-informed Paranoia setting. The Order of the All-Seeing Cube has established itself as the sole power on the continent, its cubic gaze squarely set throughout the land, regulating everyone and everything - or at least, that's what they'll tell you. Their influence is certainly felt in everyday life, sure, but how many eyes can such a huge bureaucracy truly have? Do you support it, perhaps with an aim to one day become a Vertex? Or do you work against the Cube, maybe as a rebel, or an agent of the other powers overseas?

If this intrigues you, let me know here or any other way you can get a hold of me. I'm looking for a job, and my current best lead might have me working odd hours for D&D (or any socialization at all), but who knows what'll happen there; we'll have to work out times once I know who's interested.

I've been considering it, but I've never done anything with D&D before so I'd have no clue what I'm doing and I don't know how it will fit my schedule.

Also my usual fantasy mainstay of Kyrina doesn't sound like it'd fit the game type? Or however that works.

I'll be picking up the new Player's Handbook this week, particularly after I read this: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/vi ... s-Handbook

It's all the new classes and some of their specialties. THEY FINALLY FIGURED OUT THAT ROGUES WOULD BE SMART TO USE MAGIC.

Speaking of which, if anyone here is playing a burglar or considering it, I need to confer with you about my character.

It sounds interesting but I'm un-experienced with D&D. I have a basic understanding of it, but haven't gotten the chance to try it.

Ok, bluecoat convinced me. I've still never played before but it sounds like fun, and I can fit Kyrina in after all.

Picked up the player handbook myself today.

Y'all are gonna be fighting a frog plague at some point.

This is not a joke.

Job hunting is still a thing but I'll want to get a preliminary session going within the next two weeks. If that winds up being workable with the job I get, great. If not, we'll just do this again.

(ignore the specific dates; use the days of the week)

Before I fill in that Doodle...what time zone are these times in?

Also, since this is the last week and a half before I go back to college, I've got stuff planned on the weekends and, like, next Wednesday, etc...once I go back to school I should probably be open pretty much whenever except maybe Monday nights. (And hopefully MvM Thursdays continue as well.) I'm hesitant to mark down times since everything's going to drastically change come August 25th and I might even have a lab section to teach, but I'll do what I can.

It's set for Pacific, at least for me. It might adapt for you? I don't know, I've never used this across time zones. Just put a note in that you're Central; I doubt I'll forget but just in case I do it's easy enough to mentally move a row two spaces left. I plan to have the preliminary session before the 25th and a job I might get could very well wind up messing up the schedule on my end too. So we'll just use this for the preliminary session, then, and I'll make another once everyone gets their new schedules.

I was going to fill it out, but EVERYTHING changes for me after the 25th. So instead, here's a complicated breakdown of my evenings until then.

Saturday the 16th: Free (though probably too soon?)
Sunday the 17th: Not free - in St. Louis all day
Monday the 18th: Free (but MvM night otherwise (EDIT: got a birthday party; free past 10 PM CST))
Tuesday the 19th: Free (probably, usually go shopping on Tuesdays (EDIT: got Pinochle; free past 10 PM CST))
Wednesday the 20th: Not free - at a baseball game
Thursday the 21st: Free (but MvM night otherwise)
Friday the 22nd: Not free - wedding rehearsal
Saturday the 23rd: Not free - wedding
Sunday the 24th: Not free - travelling all day
Monday the 25th: Free past, like, 7 PM CST

Past that, classes start up again, and I am more than likely free whenever, though Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday may automatically work best.

I get my schedules the week of, and typically I work in the evenings :(

Rule of thumb is that my days off are going to be either Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday, with Thursdays open after 5 pm central time.

I can't play on the 28th at all.
