A car is my preferred method of transportation, but dealing with parking often makes it not worth it. I therefore usually either walk or take a shuttle.

anyway, that last one didnt get to much attention. lets do a hard one. hypothetically, your in a serious accident.

would you prefer to be permanently blind, or permanently deaf?

That's a tough one. I have a song in my head 24/7 and music is a big part of my life so being permanently deaf would probably drive me to severe depression. Obviously that's not the only drawback to being deaf (try playing Mario Kart with the sound off and see how often you can avoid incoming attacks) but that would be the biggest one for me easily, even past being able to have conversations.

But being permanently blind would make me unable to do ANY of the things I love, like watching TV or playing games or coding on the computer or participating in sports or being able to drive myself anywhere or etc etc etc.

So given those two options, if I had to pick one, I'd rather be deaf.

I've actually thought about this quite often, since I'm partially both already. I'm sure I could give up my remaining hearing much easier than I could give up my remaining eyesight.

Penguinguy told me what a signshur was.

I am completely deaf in my left ear, making things quite difficult as it is, but I couldn't even begin to imagine having no sight.

I'd give up my hearing in an instant for the sake of being able to see.

I'm coming to the conclusion that bus systems in the united states are just plain terrible. I don't think I remember ever speaking to an American that's said otherwise about them...
