I'm officially Murse Burks

That's right, I am now a male nurse in the state of Ohio. :awesome:

The maximum number of questions you can get on the NCLEX is 265, you have 6 hours to take it. I finished in 92 minutes (or 20.8 seconds per question). Rocked it.

So from now on I demand to be called Overlord Murse Burks. Anyone who does not do so will face an intraosseous IV, soap water enema, and five point restraints in a room with a patient with C-diff. :lmao:

congrats burks! good going on that test!

hopefully this will give you a good bit of pemanant job security as well... most of the guys i've know who were nurses did so because they knew that if they took 3-6 months off to go hiking of fishing that they could always get a job when they came back!

Nah. I'm eying three different master's degrees. In flight nurse practitioner (NP), registered nurse anesthetist, or acute care nurse practitioner specializing in cardiac. I need to have a minimum of a year of ICU experience (will have that in 1.5 years, I get to hit the ICU quickly)....but I'll aim for more around 3 years. Should also have my EMT by then as well.

No I won't. I'll be at MedCentral. We ship a lot of patients off to Cleveland though (mainly heart cases that our open heart doctor won't touch). Some trauma patients as well. Eventually I'd like to work for their life flight team.

Grats Burks, the medical field is definitely one that requires an overwhelming amount of both mental and physical strain. I wish you well in handing the insane hours and minimal appreciation - Your self-boasting attitude will certainly be a natural trick in keeping personal morale high.

Come near me with any intent of administering an enema and I will sue you for malpractice and charge you with sexual harassment. :weird:
