Lolnope. Monday hit like a freight train and I just forgot to post it.

Twelve years here, and I'm twenty-six years old. Jesus christ, has this place really been my online home for almost half my life? Over a decade of trying to visit the same website daily, for everything from trying to make my name one of the ones where someone says "Oh, (s)he posted, let's see what's up" to just checking to see if something from the old days has resurfaced. From complaining in PM about an idea in "Things You'd Like To See In Runescape" being locked for lack of length (when, funnily enough, that very same idea got implemented some years later) to trying to help shape the rules and regulations used in Clan Chat or for tracking problem children on the forum. I'll always kick myself for the few times I forgot to

my way out of chat, and I'll always regret letting a large amount of trolls and personal issues add up to a ragequit worse than anything I've done or acted out in Mafia, abandoning my post as a moderator in a sadly dramatic way. Looking back, this place contains more of my regrets than anything I've done in real life. It speaks to how much I've loved being here that many of my most personal moments and sensitive memories of childhood, even young adult life, are set here.

I can't stop feeling proud of the fact that I still somehow have an average of 2.59 posts per day due to the sheer amount of activity in this place's glory days, that it was my color scheme that got accepted to the Runevillage Clan Chat's cape in Runescape, that I was a spark of a pretty strong revival of interest for Flyff, and that my gut's ability to trump all reasonable logic still made me a figure of some good measure of worry in Mafia. This place gave me the courage to speak up in crowds of total strangers to try to make myself, my thoughts, my feelings known, to try to showcase my talents (however few at the time of arriving here) to earn respect. After having quit baseball in real life, most my efforts of participating properly with people as a team came from here, and I'll be damned if it doesn't feel nice to be respected for a mix of knowledge and skills in something like our Mann vs. Machine shenanigans. It was an honor getting to play on and host our Minecraft servers for some time, too. My greatest floating islands were always in our servers.

Everything this place has done for me has without a question helped shape me to be what I am today. I'd like to think that's someone worth being proud of. Everyone who's still here, and many people who aren't, was a part of that. Regardless of the degree, I wouldn't be who I am without twelve years of dealing with friends, foes, faux family, facetious fools, Fortress-mates, fatties, and Fly For Funners, to name a few. Thank you for being around, everyone. Thanks for making this place home.

Even as everyone steadily drifts, ebbing and flowing their way in and out of here, it's as close to a proper family dynamic as I've seen online. The birth, the growth, the fun, the chaos, drama, maturing, departure, fond memories, and occasional returns and get togethers are without a doubt the genuine article of an online family. I've always been proud of mine in real life, and I'll always be as proud of my one online.

Initially I voted that my favourite thing was the RuneScape discussions because that's really the main reason I came to RuneVillage.
But I just decided to change my vote after re-reading the question, my favourite thing and my reason for choosing RuneVillage over any other forum is because this place always had a warm family feeling. Everyone being welcome and everyone being nice and friendly I genuinely feel like this is my second home.

I'm not the one voting without leaving a response though, still need to get that someone out of the bush
