a man who liked to be known as "Hiker" created the forums that us Runevillagers know as ThePub.

Through the ups and the downs, the good times and bad, RV has been there for us. And sure, in recent years RV itself has had it's fair share of "scandals", but somehow the community has always held it together. For many of us, this inconspicuous corner of the internet means a lot, and the friends we have met and relationships that have been forged (and tantums that have been thrown ) have made us all into the adults (most of us) are now.

Runevillage the forum is pretty well much done. Runevillage the group will eventually die, but as long as we're still friends with each other in the end, it's still a pretty big thought in our heads. Although it's a shadow of its former self, this hallowed board holds a grand host of memories for me that I'll definitely cherish and never forget.

I've also made a lot of friends and done a lot of things I wouldn't have otherwise, purely because of what's happened here. It's been pretty awesome and I wouldn't trade those experiences for the world.
