10 years ago Matt258 joined, and within that time was banned(for scamming many people out many millions of runescape GP). He has been returning using various usernames. His latest is 852ttaM. And he is announcing he has been a part of the village for years.

Did you watch my Ban Appeal video? Well as I put I am NOT a Scammer! I will be paying back everyone +40%. Oh well that means I'm being Scammed by them They will make MORE Gp than what they Traded to me.

Surely there must be truth to what he's saying. Why else would he go through so much effort to stick around and continue posting and replying here? Is the amounts that have been scammed that large?

Yeah, there is probably some truth to what he says. He very well may intend to pay everyone back. The only problem is that he never gives a timeline for when he intends to repay everyone. Its pretty difficult to legitimately come up with hundreds of millions of GP from nothing(assuming he spent all his donations-which is what he said he was going to do with them)


And yes healer, it was quite a large sum of GP. He was getting people to give him money so he could get 200m exp in a few stats. After he was done training those stats he would then pay the individuals back 1.4 times the amount they originally gave him.

Basically it's been 2.5 years and no one's ever been repaid for the gigantic sums of RS money some have given him. It was always going to be 40% so it's not like he's even increased it due to inconvenience. You can see in the topic that he eventually said he left RV and wasn't returning until certain demands were met, like all the RS quest guides getting put back on the site or forum rank colors getting changed. Never once did he give an actual timeframe (or more importantly, a deadline), so he was banned for scamming RuneVillagers out of huge sums of money.

He says he's going to pay everyone back (and he probably believes that himself) but 2.5 years later we know that's not going to happen. That's a short-term loan lasting longer than 10% of my lifespan, lol.

Nish- It is all True that I would like to come back here able to make Posts & send messages to my Friends. I would like to clear my name from all of this Scamming because it isn't True.
Market Man - I was Hacked in March 2012 & I can provide the Screenshots/website that the person did it from. This was before JAG was out. I will be paying back +40% more Gp
Timeframe to paying back - As I currently have a Job right now my playing times are low & I'm not Training any Skills that gain Gp. I would like to get more Gp so that I could Flip. I should be done in middle of December but might get moved to Part time & able to stay working. I don't have the Buyable Stats to 200M Exp yet so won't be paying back anytime soon it seems like. Sure I would like to pay back everyone within like 1 year but can't really give a Good timeframe for it.
Jaron - Yes I would like for most of those reasons to happen since I think they would get more Activity here. Forum Games, sure Rank Colors were nice to always see but one day it was removed without any notice was really bad & see above for timeframe. They all will be payed back +40%

Tentatively, 1 year until everyone gets their money back. Ok.
