Well, hello, and welcome to RV. I'm sure you'll enjoy it very much here

.
Well, first of all, the Wildy is "gone". No more player-killing, if you haven't heard. Has to do with the real world trade rules. Long story. They have a new mini-game called Bounty Hunter that kind of came in place of it, and to go along with the real world trade guidelines Jagex has, you don't pick you opponent, it chooses randomly. Another thing with the Wildy, is reverents. These are VERY annoying monsters that, even though they may be a lower level than you, they can hit surprisingly high. They go along with the old Wildy rules, if your combat level is in the area of the monster by the Wildy level you are in, they can attack you(e.g. if you are level 78 and a reverent is level 109 and you are both in level 46 Wildy, you can attack each other, mostly the reverent to you :p)
There is also Summoning, a new skill that lets you have new pets, (e.g. a dragon when you get to level 99 summon, that will take a while though

)and lets you summon animals called familiars. These creatures can be part of your battle when against other monsters(only in multi-combat zones though).
And, I don't know if you have been gone this long, but Jagex also came out with Hunting. It is pretty obvious what you do, hunt! Even though I don't train the skill a lot myself

, I hear it can come in handy when you need to make $ $ $

. Not really a combat-related skill, just another fun skill that Jagex has put into the RS world.
And, of course, the graphics update(my favorite

). On July 1, 2008 (or was it July 2, I forgot

) Jagex released a HUUGE new improvement to the graphical condition that RS was in. Major, MAJOR, improvements. There is now a full screen option that allows you to, well, have a full screen when playing RS. A full screen on your computer, instead of that screen that only covers up 1/3 of the monitor area with the useless blackness around it. But, the good news (or bad), is that if you don't have the memory or graphical sufficiency to play the new full screen or super high-detail RS, you can always revert back to regular detail.
Well, that's all I've got, I'm sure people who will post here later on will give more info. than me

, but this is all I've got

.
