You guys see this week's episode?

The first minute was good, the rest was painful to watch. I just knew Michael was going to screw it up AGAIN, which makes it pretty hard to understand how the bar manager could be interested in him.

The Andy/Erin bits could have been a lot more fun to watch if Andy didn't feel like he had to hide it. Oh well, maybe they'll do it right in the next episode. :P

Season-2-Angela would never approve of a baby contract.

Also, Kevin is now officially lame.

Ya, there were a couple funny moments/lines but this was just mostly more glaring examples of the characters acting completely out of character/lame/annoying/stupid etc etc.

Michael Scott was really really really on my nerves on this episode. The writers are trying to make him too stupid.
Hidden:
I think it would have been better when Jim told Michael that it was a date, if Michael might have acted differently without going to his car to turn into "Date night Michael." I mean when we find out the opposite gender likes you, everyone changes a little bit, but i dont go change my clothes.

Overall, I laughed a lot. Erin is really funny, and Pam and Jim are going back to their old selfs.

The Dwight Angela part was not funny except when Angela was "wacked".

Community this week tried to hard in my opinion, but 30 Rock was funny. I decided not to waste my time on Parks and Rec

It was a bit awkward to watch with Michael messing up so badly but I sort of like that. Still liked the episode, though. Characters change just like people do, you can't expect them to remain static for six years now (I didn't even think it was that out of character for Kevin, reminded me of the childish giggling fits a la Gay Witch Hunt in season 3).

Community was alright (I never expect anything amazing from that show but it's consistently worth watching), 30 Rock was awesome and goofy (the Kenneth thing was hilariously creepy and the Princeton thing was great) but I skipped Parks and Rec again for the most part.

Only got to watch the Office this week due to March Madness. :P

Anyway, it's not the matter of characters changing... It's the matter of characters becoming waaay over the top to something we can't even relate to anymore as opposed to the earlier seasons. But whatever suits your fancy.

I thought the office this week was pretty funny. At times I feel they are trying way to hard, Pam and Meredith in the bathroom, but at other times, The whole cookie monster thing, as well as the end of the episode with Pam and Jim.

Overall, its getting better from the dreadful start at the beginning of the season.

Community was very funny this week. 30 Rock was on about the same plane as the Office, and I don't watch Parks and Rec anymore.

Community > Office >= 30 Rock

Parks and Rec wasn't on, fool. We got double 30 Rock! :D (Which was awesome.) Great episodes of 30 Rock, Jack has some decisions to make...

The Office I really enjoyed, Jim's impression of Kevin was classic. And Gabe having no authority, haha.

Community was terrific. Loved the Abed monologue thing. And Jeff's "hand close" thing not working was pretty funny too.

On another note, saw Date Night with Steve Carell and Tina Fey for the second time this weekend. So good.

Had to play a bit of catch up, but I actually enjoyed the last three episodes. It's a shame that Michael's relationship got screwed up AGAIN, but at least it wasn't his fault this time.

I hope Holly comes back. She's perfect for Michael.

In related news: http://www.officetally.com/steve-carell ... r-season-7

I really hope they end the show if/when Steve decides to move on.

This weeks office was way too far fetched for my taste. Michael really annoyed me with his victim attitude, while one of my close friends said that she thought Michael was perfect this episode. With that being said, I enjoyed Dwight this episode.

30 rock was good and Community was so-so. I actually enjoyed Parks and Rec this week (it was a shocker to me).

30 Rock > Parks and Rec = The Office = Community

A bit of a weak season finale, yeah. Some good one-liners here and there, though. Worth watching at least.

Oh this was the season finale? I really liked this episode, but yeah like you said it's pretty weak for a season finale. Anyway, it was an enjoyable episode, and one that actually felt like The Office and not just some random sitcom.

I really hope Holly comes back.

The season finale was awful. Was there ANYTHING believable about it? Did Andy get in trouble for leaking to the press? Why did the Sabre lady's personality do a complete 180?! There were some parts that made me laugh, but this is not the same type of humor I enjoyed at the beginning of the show. It's missing that connection of believability that it used to have. I never laugh because of something that I connect with is happening on the show. It's not a show about work anymore, it's a show about "Oh how wacky, I wonder what those crazy kids will do next!" There's also no build up at all anymore. Remember in the first few seasons when there was going to be a branch merge? That built up into the perfect finale, everything was expertly planned with an extremely hilarious and pleasing result. Why can't we get stuff like that anymore? Instead, we get stupid romances every. single. episode.

This made me realize, once again, how crappy the show has become. :( It was a good episode, but nothing compared to the Season 2, 3, and parts of 4 episodes.

You know Spelda, I hear that. For me, it's enjoyable still, but it doesn't compare.

If you ask me it's just becoming all too complicated. Company buyouts, scandals, new characters, etc. The petty office antics of the first few seasons really made it some enjoyable, simple humour, but lately they're just doing too much and taking away from the enjoyable simplicity.

I hope they move back soon, perhaps this is all an elaborate ploy to get back to Michael and Holly and some normal office humour, but like you said, there's nothing really to look forward to. Erin and Andy? Ehh, I don't like Erin. Subpar, wanna-be-Jim-and-Pam plot.

Apparently Season 7 is the last season, though. (Steve Carell said it would likely be his last season, they can't go on without him.) But I do really hope they bring it all together for a good series ending.

Oh, and interesting article: http://www2.macleans.ca/2010/01/14/why- ... m-anymore/

We're truly only watching it out of habit.

I dunno about that, Spelda. It's still much better than most shows if you ask me, it just isn't in its prime anymore.

Haha, and glad to hear that, jack.

*bump* Changed the topic title to Season 7, hope you don't mind Jenny. ^_^;

What did you all think of the first two episodes? Episode 1 was a pretty weak season premiere, but not a bad episode. Episode 2 was good, I dunno about you guys but I really like seeing Michael and Toby together, arguing or trying to be friends. I think this is all going to lead up to Michael realizing that he doesn't want to work at Sabre anymore, probably around the same time if/when Holly comes back.
