Seriously guys, hiker said that if you prove you're worthy to get your rank back, you will. So what's with all the complaining? Scared you weren't really worthy of being a mod after all? Then why didn't you admit it before and resigned?

How the hell can all you people say things like "Oh, it's nothing really, just get over it"?

Try spending years at this site, working hard to help the site, the community and gain a reputation as a good hardworking member of the community - just to have it all taken away from your "cuz the admins want lulz."

It's sickening that the site is run by people who didn't even think something this big through.

well i myself believe a reputation is rankless and is only based on personal opinion

i myself have absolutely no idea what you feel right now but there is no reason to get so angry so fast without waiting for some sort of explination. I'm not taking sides with either the admins or the deranked just because i don't know the whole story but the fact of it is that people are making a mountain out of a mole hill. It's not a rank that should be cared about if you are a good community member it is your reputation and nobody can take that away by stripping you of a title.

If this is a serious decision, we have just lost a majority of our everyday posters. Now, I am not one to frequent the forums often, but from what I know, the mods that were demoted were the backbone of our community. Without the backbone, the whole community falls.
I would also like to add, some of the top donators to the site are (or were) moderators on these forums. If they leave because of this inane idea, we have just lost a majority of the funding that is needed to run a site like this.

If by possibility this is an April Fools joke, might want to come clean before the community collapses over something like this.

It's a temporary thing anyway isn't it? If you're a big part of what makes the village tick, then there shouldn't be much worry for you to get the positions back. It's worth giving the admins a shot at making things stronger, and its usually easiest to start with a new slate. Sure, if I had power of some sort, I'd be upset just as well, but all changes are meant to make things better in the long run, so I'd eventually get over it.

Every rank is well deserved. How could clearing the slate, when people worked so hard to earn (and stay) where they are (or were, rather) be an improvement? Seems to me that the main problem is user to special rank comparison. How is that our fault? If anything, the administration should be making strives to increase our amount of users! But I guess that more reasonable thought never crossed their minds. I'm beginning to wonder if Mustangnut and Zilla were the brains of the administration. Mustang hasn't been on RV in over a month, and Zilla stepped down from her position. Low and behold, not long after, the administration goes and pulls a stunt like this.

Oh, I've considered it. In fact, Sarah's post in the early stages of this topic made more sense to me than most of what's been posted here. Still, when compared to a more logical approach (such as the one I addressed above), it makes evident the lack of thought put into this by the administration.

Wow.. lots of anger, frustration and argument floating around in this topic. First off, I can't really say much about this, mostly because it hasn't changed me at all, but it has changed a lot of you around me. I understand what Goten was saying, how the administration would just drop all of them at a well, drop of a hat, but i can somehow see where the administration is going with this. They said they had way too many moderators, and maybe this is their way of figuring out which ones to keep? Maybe my view is biased, seeing as how i would definitely be as mad as Goten, Faz and everyone else, and i'm sure the admins, like Glode and Tweedy, would also be upset had they not been admins. But i guess, on a happier note, it's for a better cause, right?
