There's a few things confusing me that is hard to get info on. There is an "always on" mode to select by the chat bar. Anyone knows what it does?
Above the tabs for skills and inventory, i'm getting a number, which looks like a timer. It's barely going up though. Right now i'm at 20:11, barely increased since i started playing an hour ago.

"Always on" when it is off you have to press enter before you can type a message in the chatbox. If it is on, it works like it always did in runescape.
If you want to use the ability bar, you'll want to have it off ;)

As for the timer, it's a UTC clock. You can disable it completely or you can move it around if you go to edit mode (check HUD option) and one of the small coloured boxes will be the clock.

In the interface settings, the drop down menu in the bottom of the second column.

Jagex added it because there's always a ton of people asking when various events start or end and now they won't have to.

Yeah, Always On mode is useful if you're always skilling or just chatting to people. Sucks if you want to do combat effectively.

Clock is just annoying.

I agree with all the quoting. It just gets in the way of the other interface.

You can move it to anywhere on your screen though, can place it anywhere ;)

That's basically how people did gwd when it was just released - the difference is you have EoC to make you do better than back then. Maybe it would be a good idea if you go with a friend first time to see how well you do before trying it alone though.

You won't be getting a massive amount of kills per trip, but you should be getting a few per trip.

No one was doing solo GWD with 80 combat stats when it was released.
