Some history of mine (and perhaps yours)

I've been looking through my old pictures folders over the last day or so and thought I'd share about, oh, 37 of them. All of them pertain to RV in some way or another, so I figured there'd be at least one person that would enjoy looking at some history.

I didn't resize any of them and a few aren't cropped because I didn't care at the time, I guess. Oh well.

They're also not in any particular order.

The day I got promoted to Forum Moderator, someone (Apple?) messed up and my rank showed up as admin. I thought it was awesome so I took a screenshot before he reverted it. (I didn't become an admin for real until ~2 years later.)

Remember when I used to "improve" FlashChat? Me too. Good times.

One day years ago in Chat, Bulker and I made a story line by line out of nowhere. Then I copied it to the forums because why not?

Goten made this when Applequest was dating A5chow and didn't know how to use chopsticks.

Jinxy (or Tweedy, I forget) had this in his sig in RV's early years. I loved the double-tap on the guy's shoulder and the stick figure kick to the face. Double posting was a big deal in the early years of forums, you guys. PUNISHABLE BY DEATH.

Daylight Savings Time ending in 2010.

Daylight Savings Time beginning in 2011. I do this kind of thing to Pyro twice a year, every year.

For the record, Animal and I live relatively close together. This was just awesome.

An RVET event in December 2011, in which I successfully created an infinite figure 8 congo line in Draynor.

Goodbye, FlashChat.

One day, FlashChat became Glitchat for roughly 40% of users for no discernable reason. RV just decided to load a completely different version of Chat at random for random people. It broke a lot of things but it also caused some weird stuff to work?

When FunOrb came out I was pretty adamant about beating Applequest at Bouncedown.

Goten drew this. I save these things.

HAHA OH MAN okay backstory: Chat mods would always kick and ban Jackstick because he was Jackstick. At one point we were kinda tired of it, and I controlled the programming of FlashChat, so we had some fun.

14 months later, Tanksandguns kept doing the same to Jackstick AND me, so I brought the functionality back for a limited time.

Jackstick made this when we ran for Co-Presidents of RuneVillage. We won.

A puzzle Jackstick once made for the Legends' Discussion forum. I was the only person that solved it.

This isn't related at all but I love Nedroid's 200 Bad Comics to death. TO DEATH, YOU GUYS.

This was the very first layout of my webcomic before I switched to ComicPress. It lasted 6 weeks and I made it myself.

Someone posted this on RV in early 2008. I loved it, so I saved it.

Pyro leaves RV forever in 2011. We all know how well that worked out.

I rewrite Dinosaur Comics for fun. This is an RV-based Mafia one.

Here's another. To this day, whenever we start talking about the best Pokemon, Topsummoner will remark that Venemoth is God's favorite. (He is a total bro you guys.)

April Fools Day 2008, where the entire moderating staff was demodded. I screenshot this purely because I would never see the 5000+ post rank on my name ever again.

This is my favorite Chat screenshot of all time, and another example of why Jackstick and I are awesome and/or your RuneVillage Co-Presidents.

Remember when I was learning how to make TF2 maps and there was this random one with a basement and an ambulance?

I made this in Minecraft on the RV server. I liked this picture because it shows how I tried to pay attention to detail when making my webcomic for the two years it ran. Final comic can be found here.

I guess some CSS was broken that day. This shows some of our older forums and users.

In the early days of Minecraft, rangerpker and I found a chicken and pig, dug a hole in the sand, pushed them in, and then continued to be jerks to them.

I don't remember why I made this, but if I know me, those first three numbers were mathematically accurate at the time.

Remember when I dug out a much-too-ginormous area of land under the ocean on our Minecraft server? I never did make my mansion; it was too ambitious a project. Darn if the glass skylight didn't look awesome under ~10 blocks of water, though.

My favorite YouTube April Fools Day event of all time. Keen Villagers will recognize this as my signature.

Ultima Cow made this I do believe. The ZB1 crew was a great bunch of people.

I miss Flashchat. Looked so much more sleek. Also, that minecraft picture. So old. And Sparky took after you, building his own underground city. (Actually, I think that might of been around when I first started to play. That free weekend because the Minecraft site went down? Twas fun.)

I have a feeling you'll love it. It was a choose-your-own-adventure thing I made that was done on RV entirely run by RVers. I still reference things from it all the time.
The topic still exists in the Literary Society forum, but many of the images are broken, so I suggest reading the one I've put up on Poor Shark linked above. I reordered some stuff for maximum readability and made chapter names and music credits and everything it's so great.

Also, I forgot Adventures of Jimmy was a thing. That flash video where the spider comes back to save Jimmy is possibly still the single most epic thing I have ever seen.

I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Yeah, I used to keep track of my post stats because I was a noob like that; I hovered around 3% of RV for basically all of my time here. Goten drew a lot of interesting and awesome things; it's too bad he doesn't anymore.

The comic was written in jest in the early days of Mafia, I think, but nowadays it's eerie how much it actually rings true. (At the time of writing that Dinosaur Mafia Comic, I really was Mafia, haha.)

I linked to Jimmy here yesterday then whoops I read over half of it for the umpteenth time. Those flash animations are still so great to look back on.

Yeah, all the main SWF-hosting sites kept going down! All three of us have different links and two of them are busted. In fact, Aragorn's is version 1--I remade a version 2 that was much smoother later on which I think Apple and I both had, but the sites are gone. I feel like I should just host that and the Under Attak flash videos on my own site for posterity or something, haha.
