I really don't know how it compares as far as features, but the price is impressive. I'm going to assume that it's more of a fancy kindle than a full fledged tablet PC.

Honestly I think if they intended to enter the tablet PC market they should have marketed it under it's own name. Calling it kindle make you think "e-reader".

I'll be interested to see how things go with it. Again, $199 is impressive considering several months ago the regular Kindle went for ~$180.

Well, my first impression was that it almost has everything an iPad has but is way cheaper. I'm surprised they can keep the prices so low, so I'm a little speculative when it comes to performance... we'll see about that in upcoming reviews.

This might finally bring up the popularity of tablets... I believe the biggest downer was the price of such devices.

I've some hope in Windows 8 tablets when they come out as well. Price will be key though.
