The claim is that Qaddafi got hit in crossfire.

I heard some human rights group is trying to go after the rebels saying they just executed him.
Yea.. there's supposed to be some grandiose trial and THEN they execute him. But nobody's going to know who did it and how would they even prove it at this point? It's just a wonder it didn't happen sooner or more brutally.

The last Islamic country this sort of thing happened in (Rebels shooting a leader begging for mercy), we ended up with Saddam ruling over Iraq for 30 years. The new Libyan government will not be fans of democracy.

Can't agree more. The Arab Spring obsession disgusts me.

It's sad to see how his life ended, no one deserves to die in that way... even if people say he was a dictator or w/e.

But I really didn't expect differently. This is the obvious result of supporting such rebels. I think it's the carelessness of the coalition and NATO, mainly whoever provided weapons to the rebels, which seems to be mostly France.

What do you really expect of a government that supports such actions to become?

I guess I'll take the unpopular route.
But he got what was coming to him...

Qaddafi ordered jets to bomb his own people.
He ordered tanks to roll in and shoot up the place.
It's hard to expect anything good to happen to somebody that does that.

Would I have shot him if I was in their place? I don't know, but I can't imagine myself being that far oppressed. I'm mostly amazed he only got shot I guess.

They say that Gaddafi wasn't begging to them, but actually cursing out the rebels that seized him.

But it was his choice he could have went into exile with alot of money but instead chose to fight, so you got to give him that.
