So i had spyware for some reason and it made my connection slower, and a systems restore failed for some reason when i initiated it earlier . Instead of doing it again, i chose something else, system recovery. It says i'll keep all documents, and i have, but i lost all bookmarks and cookies. Making things worse, i still have that spyware problem too. Tried to see system recovery to see if i could restore it to an earlier point, but for some reason, i have no restore points even though i saw at least one months ago and didn't delete it. I'm on windows 8.

So my question is, if i didn't back anything up on a drive, could i still revert back to before today?
Think i really should have updated to windows 8.1, which has a lot of automatic restore points, according to articles i saw after this happened.
