Two nights ago, Mayor Jaron was found dead in the woods near the graveyard. Before being assassinated himself, Detective Jackstick was able to provide the Church with the necessary evidence to determine that Mayor Jaron's evil twin, and suspected member of the Mafia, Noraj, killed Jaron in an attempt to both fake his own death and secretly usurp his brother's role as leader of the village.


Priest: Not that it matters, but just so you know, I take no pleasure in what's about to happen to you. Mayor Jaron was a close friend of the Church, and it pains me to have to execute a member of his own blood.

Noraj: If you say so.

Priest: Is there anything you want to tell me before we go outside?

Noraj: What do you want to hear?

Priest: A confession, and your honesty. You killed Mayor Jaron, your own twin brother, in a foolish attempt to usurp his role without anyone knowing. And I know you didn't act alone. Who are you working for? Who else must be brought to justice?

Noraj: You're naïve, Priest. My people will take over the village with or without me alive. You are bringing a storm to your small village, one that it will not survive.

Priest: How many of your people remain?

Noraj: Enough to avenge me.

Priest: You may be shown mercy if you turn them in. A life in prison, instead of an execution. Either way, your people will be found. We believe Detective Jackstick had an apprentice. Someone who can continue his work. Your followers aren't safe so long as there's still a detective to uncover them, and a Church to punish them. But you can save yourself.

Noraj: So I can watch you hang all my people? I'd rather die. This will all come back to you. You don't know what we're capable of. Jackstick's apprentice is new and inexperienced; they will never find our Godfather. If you let me go now, I can guarantee the safety of you and your villagers so long as you kneel to us. If not, then there will be violence. This is a long time coming, and I promise you that the aftermath of my execution will not be a quiet one.

Priest: The violence began when you killed Mayor Jaron. All I can do now is avenge his death, and see to it that the village hangs everyone else involved in his death. You put yourself in this position, Noraj. It's the will of our Lord, and tonight the Lord commands justice.

Noraj: We can argue about what the Lord commands when I see you on the other side. I'll be waiting for you, Priest.

Priest: I won't ever see you again, not here or in the afterlife. You will have an eternity of justice, in the form of fire.


Noraj, the first Mafia, has been hanged.

The last night of summer turned to the first day of autumn. Following the execution of Noraj, the villagers look forward to a season of peace. But that feeling of hopefulness was quickly extinguished when a black knife was found jutting out of the Church door that morning. It was clear that whoever else was involved with Noraj weren't going to let his execution go without consequence.

Rules:

Days will last for a maximum of 72 hours, and nights are 48 hours. A day may end before 72 hours if a majority is reached, and nights end as soon as all night activity has been sent in. This MAY be adjusted in the interest of keeping a well-paced game, but I will let everyone know well ahead of time.

Villagers win once ALL Mafia have been killed. Mafia wins if they kill enough villagers so that their population is 50% of the remaining total population.

Votes and unvotes must be in bold or they will not be counted.

You may not post any part of your role PM as evidence. Doing so may disqualify you from the game.

No metagaming. Please do not mention any previous Mafia games. You are not allowed to use past games as evidence.

No discussing the game outside of this topic. The exception is if you're Mafia, in which case it is part of your duty to have private discussions with your other Mafia friends.

No editing posts! It's okay to double-post if you have to.

A majority vote of >50% must be reached in order to lynch a player.

You may change your vote, or unvote, at any time unless a majority is reached. Any activity after a majority vote is considered twilight activity. Twilight is the period between a majority vote and the end of the day. Depending on the hosts availability, twilight can last a few minutes or several hours. Votes and unvotes in twilight will be completely disregarded.

You are expected to be active in the game. I will PM users if they go too long without being active. If I have to keep reminding you, then you may be mod-killed or replaced.
