Frankly, I'd rather sacrifice a claimed villager than a claimed detective. Neither option is especially attractive, but it's the best we have to go on. Topsummoner

Even though the 'claimed detective's' results contradict a confirmed stalker's report? Kay...

Basically, the detective's results say that top is mafia, however the stalker says that top doesn't have a night-action role.

Question (for the host as much as anyone): Are we to assume that the stalker can track anyone who has a possible night role, or just those who use their night role? In the latter case, assuming the rule that one mafia member is sent to do the dirty work, the stalker might target an inactive mafia at night (but if they caught someone visiting a person who then died that night, they'd almost certainly have a mafia).

Okay, let me restate one point of my argument. WHY IN THE HELL WOULD YOU NOT CLAIM WITH A GUILTY ON DAY 1?

Oh, I was assuming that only mafia roles and the godfather would show up for a stalker.

I always assumed that it was the godfather who carried out the killing as he is the one who sends in the PM.

I'll wait until Scar gives further results from last night to vote. This whole thing seems like a massive WIFOM, but I'm not sure if that's the correct acronym for the situation. In any event, I'll give a longer post after that.

I'm not a reverse cop, my result from last night entirely messes up my thought that maybe my results were just flip flopped.

I investigated Dragoncrusher, found he was aligned with the village. Since we know that is true, I'm not sure what to make of my other results since the one I got for Thyker was wrong.

Also, i didn't claim because anyone asked me to. I felt it was the right time to do so. What difference does it make if I claimed D1 or D5?

- I claim D1, Doc protects me until he is offed and then I get killed
- I claim D5, Doc gets the chance to protect other people, I live longer which = more investigations

At first yea, then I realized I may be getting reversed results and switched to Top before the day was out. I think i ended up voting for him like 3 or 4 different times even.

Well, I'm obviously not conventionally insane because all of my results aren't opposites. But it is clear I'm not a normal detective.

What in the world does WIFOM stand for?

--- --- --- --- ---

So in closing, I know I'm not a normal detective. My results from Investigating Thyker and Dragon prove that much. As for which of the other types of detective I am, I think we can rule out conventional Insane Detective, Paranoid Detective, and Naive Detective. My guess is Steely made up a combo of those three for this game...

Did I miss anyone?

The fact that you didn't claim with a guilty on D1 makes me doubt your claim ALOT.

I'll rephrase mentos's question for him.

WHAT POSSIBLE REASON COULD THERE BE TO NOT CLAIM WITH A GUILTY ON D1? I'LL TELL YOU ONE: YOU'RE NOT ACTUALLY A DETECTIVE. pardon my caps

Either the weirdest detective ever, or a mafia. I'm voting for the latter.

Actually, I have been a detective with rules that could explain Scar's results: an Insane Detective (gets a random result unrelated to the target's role). Because of the existence of these types of detectives, a N1 mafia find isn't always something to roleclaim about. Then again, no idea if Scar was thinking along those lines; if I'm a detective in a game where Insane, Paranoid, Naive, and Reverse detectives are possibilities, I investigate myself first.

If that were the case I'd assume that we'd have some kind of sane detective and as far as I know he hasn't been killed off (unless it was Sweep and only the mafia/arsonist knows that role) or hasn't come out... or doesn't exist.

Possibilities-wise, there could be a real detective out there who hasn't come forth to save Scar by revealing that he is a villager/other detective but there are two reasons why they haven't come forth:
1) They haven't investigated Scar. If that is the case, unless they have been really unlucky and keep detecting the person who dies that night and therefore haven't got any results, they really should have found at least one mafia amongst the remaining players and therefore should have come forward by now.
2) They have investigated Scar and found him mafia, considering how we are close to lynching him there isn't much point him sacrificing himself to confirm it.

Yeah, given Scar's nonsensical results, he's probably either worthless (or as worthless as a vanilla townie can be) or a mafia.

Why the hell would you investigate Dragoncrusher? Also, your logic for not coming out with your "guilty" on day one is based on the "doctor protecting you until he dies, then you die" theory. Unfortunately, the doctor has been dead, and you claimed yesterday. According to you, you should be dead. Why would the mafia keep you alive over Dragoncrusher? WIFOM? Nah, I don't really buy it anymore.

If Steely gave the town a random detective or even-day-sane/odd-day-insane type of deal we were screwed from the start anyway, so, Scar.

Also, FoS Monk Basher for the vote on Topsummoner:
Quote:
My bet is that he's insane.

Ignoring the glaring contradiction that Scar claimed to get innocent on Dragoncrusher, which is parallel to being sane. Also, the fact that you haven't done much of anything besides hang around, and you aren't dead yet.
