I would've kept posting or trying to write stories, but I'm going to be brutally honest here. RuneVillage is a Fuzzy Bunny audience. Some people don't seem to understand that just because this is a Runescape fansite, they aren't limited to writing cheap fan-fiction stories.

However, ever since most of the people from the original "group" left (the ones that populated this forum, mostly mentioned by Jaron), the creativity in here has taken a nosedive. We used to have some pretty awesome stories going on here. RP's were almost nonexistent, I'm afraid, and I quite liked it like that.

Now we have stories that literally have characters with Runescape names, numbers and all, and if you see too much of something you become blind to everything else around it. Everyone got used to cheap Runescape stories to the point that if anything was non-RS, no one would pay attention to it. I'm not talking about my stories, I stopped writing a long time ago because I don't have the time for it. I'm talking about other peoples' too.

There's only so many times you can beat a dead horse before it starts decaying. Bring something new into the forum and maybe then you might have a chance at reviving it. I doubt it very much.

Amen. I'm not of the normal group, (I have never took part in any of the RPs because I literally have no idea how to. I'm a literary person.) so my opinion might not be worth much. Andrey is correct. The lack of interesting stories is horrible. When I was writing "Unleased," at first I thought it was a good idea, but as time wore on I realized I was writing a dead story. I ended it for the sake of finishing it, but it is now a killed idea. People need to realize that Runescape is essentially dead in and of itself (Jagex's real-world-trading updates killed the game) and that there are other things to read about, even, as Andrey says, on a Runescape website. Right now I am working on something else, "Daro," that is completely unrelated to Runescape, and I am enjoying it much more than "Unleashed."

I may not help contribute to the RPs (but if asked I could help. Someone wll have to help me.), but I am trying to keep the forum alive all the same. My friend who introduced me to this forum has fallen away, but I still return to check it.

Since this dead topic has already been revived, I suppose I'll make another note.

I've seen several book discussion topics being made in Media Mansion, whereas I was convinced that book discussion went here... :|

You are indeed correct. If you continue to see any, please point them out to me and I will move them here.

The only thing I can currently think of off the top of my head is Twilight, and I'll leave it there because it's being made into a movie soon if I'm not mistaken.

Yes, being one of that original group (For more information to those that are unfamiliar with my works, please see the topic "A RuneScape Hero: Ice Ranger"), it is a shame to see the way that the Literary Society has turned out. I think the final sword into the heart of the Literary Society was the combination with the Role playing forum. I understand the core reason for the change, but I still think that the Literary and Role Play forums were different enough that they should have remained in two separate forums.
It is a fact that the Role Plays are going to always be at the top of the forum, which is going to bump all the stories down the page. The Literary Society was never about quantity, but about quality. A lot of Role Plays (Not all of them, there are some that are very well done) are more quantity than quality. However, I know there is nothing to be done about that. Maybe ill finish chapter 11 of my story.
