Part 25 and 26 are here! These are two parts of a two part battle.
Part 25: Bentface/Wartnose Pt. 1
A vicious, large, two-headed goblin stood before Jamie, Rangerbane, and Sarkus. Half of its armour was red, the other green, divided diagonally through the center. Each hand of the goblin held a large club, with spikes that were half as long as the clubs themselves. “We is Super General Wartface!” one head shouted.
“No!” shouted the other. “We is Super General Bentnoze!”
The first head grumbled. “Whys not General Wartnoze?”
The other one shot back “No! Super General Bentface!”
Jamie had taken the time while they were arguing to sneak up behind Wartnoze/Bentface, and struck the back of their armour with his mithril scimitar. On impact, it shook Jamie to the core with the strength of the armour, knocking him off balance.
Sarkus shouted “Armadyl’s Love!” A large pinkish-green blast erupted from Sarkus’ staff of Armadyl, and scored a direct hit on the Super General’s chestplate. The blast bounced off, and rebounded directly into Sarkus, sending him flying against Doric’s Shack. The spell left a symbol of Armadyl on the Goblin’s platebody. “Now we’s uses your spells against yous!”
The symbol of Armadyl faded, and a pinkish-green blast formed in the Super General’s hand, firing into Jamie, sending him flying against a tree.
Rangerbane was left alone standing. He had already figured melee and magic would be worthless, and had chosen to take out his willow longbow. Pulling a steel arrow from his quiver, and loading it into his bow he aimed at the goblin, and fired. The arrow shattered on impact with the chestplate of the Super General, and the shards of wood flew and impaled into Rangerbane’s left arm, charged with frost-magic that the goblins must have aquired from their leader, the Frost Keeper. The cold froze the nerves in Rangerbane’s arm, rendering it useless.
Rangerbane reached into his pocket with his right hand, taking out a steel throwing knife.
The platebody is what reflects the attacks… I just need to hit elsewhere…
The Super General rushed forward, clubs dragging on their spikes. The goblin rose the clubs, and struck down, but Rangerbane had already dodged out of the way. The spikes of the clubs stuck into the ground, and the goblins tried to no avail to pull them out.
Rangerbane noticed the goblins legs and arms were covered in armour, leaving one place open. The heads. He tossed his throwing knife with all his power, and one could see a glint of green on the steel knife before it plunged into the head belonging to Bentnoze.
The goblins roared, and charged at Rangerbane, who, reaching into his pocket, found he had somehow only had one knife. The goblins scored a direct hit in his chest, knocking the wind out of him, sending him flying into a tree, where he coughed up blood on impact of the ground.
Jamie had finally stood up, but the goblins had noticed and whammed him to the ground with a single, light swipe of the arms. The Super General returned to their clubs, and tried to pull them out again. Doric had snuck out of his shack, and the dwarf was holding an item that would otherwise thought to be fictional. A dragonite pickaxe.
“IMPALE!” Doric shouted, and the pickaxe glowed with red and plunged into the back of the otherwise thought impossible to break chestpiece, impaling all the way out the chest. The plate body crumbled off the body of the goblin, leaving only a simple cloth shirt. “ARRGH! Now you make us angry!”
The pickaxe suddenly began to be covered in ice, still impaled in the Super General, and the ice traveled down the head, down the handle, and finally froze Doric’s hands to his axe, and quickly froze the rest of him as well. The Super General walked forward, the frozen axe sliding out of the wound hole. The goblins somehow were not fatally wounded, and used an ice spell to freeze the entire wound. Sarkus had gotten up, and launched an Armadyl’s Love spell at the Super General, now that the platebody was gone. It hit the goblins in the chest, sending them staggering a bit, but they then grabbed the staff of Armadyl, pulling it from the hands of Sarkus easily, and tossed it into a tree.
The goblins then grabbed one club with both hands, and finally pulled it free, and swung it into Sarkus, luckily only impaling his arm with one spike, and with a quick swing, Sarkus was free of the spike and was sent flying into the shack. The Super General readied their club and moved in to deliver the final blow.
Part 26: Bentface/Wartnoze Pt.2
The Super General readied their club and moved in to deliver the final blow...
And dropped the ground dead. The glint of a steel knife glinted, impaled in Bentnoze’s head. Sarkus stood up, arm dangling at his side, bleeding. He pulled out Rangerbane’s steel throwing knife. The tip shone with a green substance. Weapon Poison.
Rangerbane, cloak bloody, also stood up, as well as Jamie. All three were greatly injured. They all gathered around the body of the The Super General. Suddenly, a blast of purple energy erupted about ten feet away. When the resulting smoke cleared, Stip/Zaros stood there.
“Stip?” exclaimed Jamie.
“Fool. Stip has no control over this body any longer. I alone shall control it. I alone. You have been interesting pawns. Your trust in your friend has turned to be your own undoing. If you hadn’t trust Stip, likely you would have disposed of my amulet. I realized my mistake of letting the fool control me, when he fell to the Weredragon. I realized I could be stronger... I could control him better... Control him completely.”
He took this time to laugh as loud as thunder.
“And then, similar to you, his trust was his own downfall. He trusted I would not try to control him. He had gone too far with me sitting in the background. And so, he had unknowingly become addicted to the power I gave him. When I was banished from my amulet, he wanted the power back. And my influence began to corrupt him.”
He shouted the next bit. “And now, I have turned his trust against him. I am at my full power now! Not even Zamorak can stop me! You all have been interesting pawns! Time to dispose of you!”
He floated into the air, and charged a large ball of purple energy when his arm froze solid. “Frost Keeper.”
“Zaros, get away from them. It is my duty to crush them.” Said the Frost Keeper who had appeared behind Zaros.
“Frost Keeper. Disciple of no god. Your beliefs astound me with confusion. Why bother stopping someone who is going to crush the ones you will destroy anyways? Do you really have to stop them yourself that badly?” Zaros snickered.
“You know nothing, poor excuse of a god! Bentnoze, Wartface, destroy him!”
The Super General lying on the ground exploded in a bright light, and standing in their place were Goblin General’s Wartface and Bentnoze, dressed in green and red armours respectively. Bentnoze held one of the giant clubs, and Wartface pulled the other one out of the ground and held it in both hands. They both charged Zaros, and swung at him. Where the clubs should have hit, they instead passed through, that portion of Zaros turning into dust. Once the clubs were out of the way, Zaros reformed, and the clubs glowed purple.
“Enough!” The clubs, taking the goblins with them, flew through the air, and swerved the Generals together, knocking them to the ground.
Zaros laughed. “What a laughable attempt. For amusing me, I’ll leave you to them...” Purple boxes formed around Zaros, blocking him from view, and faded, and the Old God was gone.
The Frost Keeper sighed. “Goblins, crush them... I don’t want to watch this...” He covered his eyes with his hand and disappeared in a blue light.
Even though armed as heavy soldiers, the goblins stood no chance. Both of the Generals swung their clubs slowly, slow enough for a simple side-step to avoid the attacks. Sarkus came up behind Wartface and poked him in the head with the end of his staff. “Argh!” shouted the goblin, who swung his club around. Sarkus stepped back, the club missing him, and shot an Armadyl’s Love spell at the clubs, which propelled it around, and the General was forced to hang on as it spun around, until finally, he let go, tossing the club, the handle hitting Bentnoze directly on the back of the head, knocking him out. Dizzy from spinning, Wartface fell to the ground, groaning.
Jamie spoke up. “Well now what?”
Rangerbane thought for a moment. “Where is Tahu?”
Jamie groaned. “I have a bit of explaining to do... But first...” he motioned over to Doric, who was still frozen.
