Just as in the previous days, the sun comes over the horizon, signaling the beginning of the day. The town all meet in the main room, and find that both Paidea and Thyker did not come. The penguin, once again taking his stand, pointed out their cabin to the rest. As before the town filed down the corridors to the cabin of Thyker.

Once in his house, they find a gruesome sight. Thyker had been stabbed in his sleep. The town soon rummaged through his cabin, searching for any indication of his role. They find magnifying glasses and other things, and they deduce he was the Detective. Mourning his loss, the town made their way to Paidea's house.

His, was a different sight. He had been shot in his sleep, and bled out. The town looked around his cabin, and found he too was of importance. They could find from his belongings that he was the Doctor. Again mourning their losses, the town reesembled back in the main room. The day has just begun.

Day has begun, Eleven left, Six to lynch. Day ends in Seventy-Two hours, January 15, 5:00 A.M. (GMT)

Alright so...

We're . It's day five, and we have twelve pages of information and about half of that was nonsense generated on Day one. What's worse, our dead detective has been inactive as all hell and has provided us with no leads.

The best conclusion I can draw that's anywhere near solid is that Dragoncrusher1 seems awfully scummy to me. It's safe to say that everyone has been inactive as hell this game, and the mafia has run away with it. But DC1 exhibits the classic scum activity. Posting often enough to not seem so inactive but rarely, if ever, saying anything of real substance. Note that he voted for riptide's lynch day 2 (he was a villager), and he voted for sweep's lynch day four. (villager). Also, there's the whole "lynching, that's not done either" and top calls him on it and he says "olol I was kidding, and just because I'm not voting doesn't mean the town won't lynch...and the votes are split anyway"

...What the hell kind of pro-town statement is that? At a point where lynching is paramount, you're withholding your vote for what reason? You didn't even state a legitimate one. If that's not a cop out then I don't know what is.

Another user who strikes me wrong is Rocks...he's had a history voting for known townies (riptide, ralph at one point I believe) he also pulled a complete 180 at one point in the game when he had voted for mentos for a dumb reason, mentos challenged him, and he unvoted...eerily similar to a few games ago.

Also also, I don't really like steely's claim. He's claimed to have missed a PM, investigated mentos, and investigated sweep. Now, as far as I know, the nature of the "twin" role or whatever doesn't involve any night action, so there's a flaw in his claim. Unless as stated earlier, Pengu has changed it. As far as mentos not having a role, steely could be as bold as to be protecting one of his own, or simply choosing a random villager to claim that he detected. I'll be interested in his results from last night, to say the least.

So yeah. Doubtful that there's going to be a lynch or any level of activity now, as ALL of the villagers would theoretically have to unite to achieve a lynch at this point, but I have to try.

And yeah, I'm claiming to be a townie. I'm vanilla, too, by the way. What of it?

Also something of possible significance to note: our dead detective voted jack on day three saying it had been staring him in the face the whole time. 90% chance I'm overthinking it and it was a joke, ironic 10% chance that he was hinting, LOL.

At the time of my post that day, there were, out of 6 active posters, the votes were split.

6 =/= Majority, and the only shot we had at a lynch was when Steely claimed, even then we missed that.
Lynching wasn't happening come hell or high water.

I was pushing top's buttons for fun, seeing as fun seems to have ceased to exist as of late, but whatever.
By the way, Sweep wasn't lynched, he was modkilled due to inactivity. Great reading on your half.

At that, your 'claim' of a vanilla townie when there's no pressure on you, and no rhyme or reason sticks out as a sore thumb to me; that doesn't seem like anything you've done before -- as such, I very much doubt your legitimacy. Landerpurex.

As for my claim of vanilla townie, I was squashing an argument before it happened. Someone was bound to come in here and say "Ohhh lookit, you're making subtle hints towards being a townie by saying 'our detective'..."etc, etc. I figured yeah, I might as well claim. Funny how you say there's no pressure on me, what do you take me for? I just replaced jay and made some serious accusations, the pressure is coming. If you don't believe I was squashing a pointless argument before it could manifest, I was claiming ahead of time before there was a possible train on me. The "what of it" was a sort of ironic challenge, and you took the bait.

@ Steely: I'm *really* disappointed. But then, a lynch was desperately needed at the time, but I can't even begin to fashion a reason why a townie would falsely claim to get someone lynched who was, at the very least, SOMEWHAT LIKELY to be a townie. Anyway, take a stance on the issue at hand? If anything, I think you're more likely to be scum now and trying to rationalize your nonsense claim, and haven't commented at all about the information presented about DC.

Also DC, there's a difference between being funny or having fun or whatever and saying something that confuses someone else and then carrying on about it...

Also also, I was stating that Top called you on not having your vote placed, and you gave no legit reason for withholding it. Why were you withholding it? Because a lynch was pointless? It was more pointless with you not voting than with you voting. Every active player must vote at that point and also at this one in the game, and you weren't, even after being prodded.

So yeah, I'd have to say I agree with lander/Tops at the moment, Dragon is looking scummy. However I smell a big argument between the two brewing and will let them duke it out before I vote for him. Also I want to reserve for below:

Ninja'd me, in response to that last part.

I made a false claim about Sweep being mafia because one, I actually thought he was mafioso (One good brother, one bad, win if both survive sorta deal), and two, this game is going nowhere and only by killing someone will it get rolling. The trend for mafia games lately is that we have increasingly begun to rely on special roles, so I figured an actual post would probably not get things done, so I figured I'd just make something up. Went with the stalker role because I could twist it to what I needed and didn't want to force a detective or watcher or tracker or whatever to claim if they didn't have to. Guess that doesn't really matter now but eh.

At the time that Top had pointed out that I hadn't voted for anyone, no one seemed scummy enough to me to place a vote.
Steely then came in with his claim, and then I saw some reason to try for a lynch, thus my vote.

The splitting of votes among the town early in the day didn't help anything, and the closest thing we got to was Sweep near the end of the day, which ultimately failed due to inactivity.

Voting on two players who flopped townie does not bode well for anyone, but whatever.

Your claim still seemed a bit hasty and unneeded.

At Steely: What in the world? You say "yeah I agree with lander and top, but I'm gonna vote for monk instead..." on evidence (IMHO) less damning than what I've posted and less damning than evidence that can be found against others. Then you say "I'll let them duke it out before I vote for him". Monk might not even dignify you with a response because he knows your vote isn't serious and that it's probably going to change. You've covered your own butt by saying that you'll switch over later to DC, so if he happens to be scum, you still look innocent.

What, I can't be suspicious of two people at once? My vote on Monk is a serious one, and all I'm saying is that if I were to switch my vote to Dragon (Which may or may not happen, depending on his response and if a train on Dragon builds), it would be a serious one as well. If it makes you feel any better I'll go on record saying that if I could cast votes for two people I would make myself the second voter against Dragon.

As for my roleclaim, my head went like this: Hmm, nothings getting done here, and nothing will be until we lynch someone. However, if I make a big post attacking someone, especially someone inactive, chances are people will just go tl;dr and nothing will happen. I'll make up a role instead! That should get things moving!

Yeah I know, I just disagree entirely with the fact that sweep could have been mafia. From my viewpoint it was much more likely that he was a townie, so I suppose it would have made more sense to me if you would have targeted someone else. Be it to get them lynched, get them posting, or whatever.

Smart move for a mafia? How so? My inactivity seems to have kept me alive so far this game, if was debating what "smart move" to make I'd just keep my mouth shut and be on with it. This isn't like the spotlight was on me and I needed to defend myself. Then it would be a smart move for mafia. But not when the day is stuck in a quagmire of inactivity.

Really, the more I look back at it I cannot imagine a worse move for a mafioso to make. Day Four had thirteen people, and going with a 3:1 ratio that means there's only 3 or 4 mafia left. There's what, 18 hours left in the day, and even with the two villager deaths at night won't give a win. Then there's the whole thing, why on earth would I chose Sweep if I was slyly hoodwinking you into lynching a villager? He's practically assure to be dead at the end of the day anyways. Why not go for someone already with a vote on them (Rocks and Hoj at the time I think?) That's actually the exact reason I chose Sweep and not someone else: We'd get an influx of activity and information without really risking much. I dunno, I can only hope you have enough faith in my intelligence to think I'd do that as a member of the mafia.

Not like you're the only one to have ever fake-claimed, either. Look at Muffin and Thyker in Mafia 2/10.

Also, doesn't really matter that the role was fake. At the time there was no reason to believe otherwise. Your reaction is to that of a claim you believed to be true. That reaction does not change with the revelation that my role was made up. And it is for that reaction that I'm voting for you.

And I could cover my ass just fine without voting for you, I'll have you know.

Although I want to invoke Lynch All Liars on Steely, he's right when he says his move would've been stupid from the viewpoint of a mafia.
