With public mafias out of commission for what looks like it will be a while, and upick in the hands of another, I think I'll try and host a game featuring Epic Mafia rules.

The largest difference Epic Mafia has from the type of mafia the people here are used to playing is how lynching occurs.

Even when a majority is reached, the day will NOT end until every player has placed a vote. This includes votes on No Lynch, however, so voting that will allow the day to end. You can 'unvote' a No Lynch.

But wait, Top! you may cry. Wouldn't a player who is going to be lynched just not vote and endlessly stall the day?

Not to worry, there's a system in place for preventing that. Once all but one player has placed a vote, a deadline will automatically be placed. This deadline acts independent of the host: meaning I don't have to make a post about it, it just happens. If two or three players haven't voted, much time has passed, and it's clear these people aren't going to vote anytime soon, I may place one of these deadlines myself.

These deadlines are unique from normal deadlines in another way. They cannot 'end' the day. Everyone voting is the only way the day can end. However, once the deadline has been reached, 'Kicklynching' becomes available. Players may PM the host wishing to Kick Lynch all players who have not placed a vote. The number of people who must vote for a kick lynch for it to occur are 1/3 of the players still alive.

When this deadline ends, players may PM the host 'Kick Lynch' to lynch any players who have not placed a vote

ON TO THE SETUP

The setup is A Framed Drunk Driver, one of my favourite setups on Epic Mafia.

A Framed Drunk Driver -

Town -
2 Villagers (No extra powers)
Bodyguard (50% chance to kill attacker, 50% to die in place of protected)
Detective (Sane)
Watcher (Sees anyone who visits his target)
Drunk (Roleblocker)

Mafia -
Framer (Makes target appear guilty to investigations)
Janitor (Can clean up one nightkill, learning the target's role and hiding it from the town)
Driver (Switches whoever targeted his two targets. Any driving that makes someone target a person who they normally can't target is ineffectual. ie you can't make a mafia kill one of his own)

One more thing: the mafia collectively send in PMs of who to kill. A kill will occur on the player with majority of the votes when all mafia have sent in a kill choice. Only the players who voted for the kill target will be present at the kill, and the player who votes for the person last will be the one caught by a watcher.

Example: Framer votes for Player A, Driver votes for No Kill, then Janitor votes for Player A.

Watcher is visiting Player A. The Watcher will see the Janitor at the killed player's house.
