Ok, let's face it people, random events suck. No one likes them; they have a tendency to pop up at bad times, and often end up attacking you or breaking an item or putting you through a mind numbing puzzle with crappy rewards. Actually, I got a random event typing that last sentence there.
“Why even put them in the game then?” you might be asking. Well:
If I were Jagex, I would at least have the decency to make the rewards a little better. Heck, I'll even make up my own random event to show you just how much better I am at making up cool game ideas then the buffoons they have employed at Lamex. 
1. In my random event you would choose where you are going and what you are doing, instead of being whisked away to a secret location and being forced to do manual labor without being asked. 2. You would be able to choose from a wide variety of things to do. For the sake of me being too lazy to think of any other examples, let's say I chose to make a statue in the likeness of myself (just assume you could have done something much cooler and hip). So after watching a lame movie of yours truly building the statue, it gets completed and you are awarded handsomely for your troubles. 3. Ok so now that you've finished the actual main event you can either go back to what you were doing, or do the random over again for either experience or large sums of cash. I know this sounds like it will pretty much just ruin the game, because everyone who gets the event will have all 99’s Ok, I admit that this update would ruin the game, but keep in mind that this isn’t really going to be used, so I got a little frivolous on the rewards. In the actual thing, you would probably have to make two statues to get level 99 in all skills. Besides, do you really want to go back to the old way?
