Money Making MethodsI have recently gained personal and multiple player perspective on swift ways of gaining riches. A skill often frowned upon by most warriors or mage type characters, but the bounty of coins that flourishes from the hard work of woodcutting will force fortune to smile upon you. Every day more and more people are getting into woodcutting because everyday more and more people realise that most logs range in great values in bulk - such as oaks being 10 gp each, willows being 30 gp each and yews maxing at 250 each. But this is not only a guide to making money, this is also a warning that not only is woodcutting a rich path to walk down, it is also frustrating. This is simply because of what we call bots (or in player terms 'autoers'). If you are unfamiliar with an autoer, autoers do multiple tasks for you by simply pre-setting perimeters for it to follow, selecting colours as it's target etcetera, and if you choose to take this path, you will encounter many bots when you reach the willows and many more when you reach yew level. I have also realised that RuneVillage, a popular forum among Runescape players, is a gold mine for marketing opportunities because of the frequently talked about "Hire Me" forum. Players in Runescape can announce their price to the world through forums and many will see it. Combining this and woodcutting will make you quite alot of money. However, woodcutting takes dedication and autoers often tend to oivercome more peoples dedication than not. If you have trouble with autoers, simply report them and world hop. Another good way to make money is bulk mining. Again you will encounter bots here but not as many as you would in woodcutting. Bulk mining is a bit more difficult because many people often mine 1 rock at the same time so normally there are about 6 high level miners on one rare rock - more likely than not to be the one that you are trying to mine. Just keep in mind that 70% of all miners are autoers and this will affect your resource gathering time. Alot of people go after ores such as coal and iron. If you deliver the coal in a pack of 2k and the iron in a pack of 1k, you will strike it big time. REALLY big time. For those of you that are more combat than skill, you would want to look into fighting lessers in Karamja Islands but before you even attempt to do this, you would want rune equipment or something similar. The good thing about lesser demons is that they give off very large amounts of coins on most drops, 100 fire runes, 3 death runes and 10 chaos runes. They drop a variety of "rare" runes which you could sell off to mages for a good sum of money. They also drop the infamous rune medium helm which sell for a nice fat 10,000gp each - collect 10 and your set! And if you are a member, you can go into the wilderness and kill green dragons.Tthey drop their green hides and lots of coins, sometimes gems and other things - and a bulk 28 of those hides sell for a good 41k maximum so 28 dragons = loads of experience and cash. Also combat types favor well in the wilderness with cash. These wilderness marauders are called "PKers" and they kill players for the thrill of it and more importantly, cash. Deep in the wilderness you will find numerous amounts of riches. However, magic types favor alot better in the wilderness than warriors, but only AGAINST warriors. If you do not know the loop, it is warriors who kill archers, archers who kill mages and mages who kill warriors. If you are more of a runecrafter, then fret not. You can always make good money selling runes to mages. It's a good trade. However, if you are in trades such as woodcutting and runecrafting, beware of scammers and ALWAYS check both trade windows. Someone could say they are selling yews but put willows up on the trade screen since they look so alike so be careful of that sort of thing. If you are a chef, you can make really good money by cooking up food and sitting on the edge of the wilderness where desperate PKers pay generously to get healed and back in the fight. If you are a crafter you can craft enchanted amulets and sell them to pretty much everyone! But if you craft to merchantise with stores, that is a self trade. Very generous. And if you really have some free time, gather up big bones in bulks of 1k and sell them to holy players. You will AGAIN strike it big - probably 70-100k in 1 maybe 1/2 bulks! If you are really smart and you combine some of these trades such as fighting off green dragons and building up bulks of 1k bones at the same time, you can make a good million off that! Also, if you gather up
red spider eggs and limpwurt roots, you can get strength potions made at the apocethary and sell bulks of 10 of them to AGAIN desperate PKers who want their share of the kill. |
