Ergh, he's 12.

One of the big problems in Runescape is stereotyping. For those of you that don’t know, stereotyping is grouping all of one type of people together. For instance, "All tramps are poor" or "There are no rich people in Nigeria" are both examples of stereotyping. Both sentences aren’t true, but some people might think they are.

The stereotype mostly found in Runescape is the age stereotype: when someone acts stupid, the saying is "He must be 12." Are all people that act stupid twelve? I agree, some twelve-year-olds act stupid, but most are respectable people who can spell and are already young adults.

Not all older people are perfect either. Obviously, most are more mature with the increase in their age, but there are always a few people that break the mold and rebel. Why are there people in prisons if all older people are perfect?

Of course, I'm not saying that twelve-year-olds aren’t immature. Probably 75% of immature incidents are caused by twelve-year-olds. Overall we are slightly less mature and less developed than you ancient peeps. But in no way though can we all be grouped together.

You might have noticed in that above paragraph I said 'we'. Well, I am 12, as well. People think I’m older, but the fact is I am not, and I will continue helping Runevillage and promoting twleve-year-olds.
