An Interview With: Dark Paladin

1. What is your birth name and your age according to your birth certificate?
My Birth name is Asil Ethem Demir. (Asil is my middle name; they put those in front of the first name in Turkey). I was born on the 5th of November, 1990, so I'm 17 years old.
2. When did you first join the village and how did you find out about it?
Hmmm... One day my friend told me about a HUGE drop party in the Gnome area, which was RuneVillage's Dedicated Drop Party. It was an amazing party and really got me interested in this fansite, but i didn't know what a forum was, so I wasn't able to join. Then one day I made a PK video and wanted to 'advertise' it on a fansite and so I became member of several fansite forums. However some deleted/locked my topic because I was allowed to post it and on some fansites no one replied to my topics with the exception of Runevillage . This gave a good impression of the community and made me stay, but it was only last year at this time of the year, that I started becoming active in RV, since there were many technical issues with RV the year before.
3. So, how has your time here been?
Pretty good. Never could I have imagined being so connected to a web community. I made a lot of friends who help/entertain me. RV has a lot of diversity and keeps me busy when I have nothing else to do . And of course helping RV grow and working in teams is a great feeling. <3
4. When did you first get involved in the staff side of things and what made you want to do it?
Good question. *Looks up his posts* Wow on the 16th of January 2008. That was when I really helped out the database by providing information about the new summoning items. Before that I've only coded articles in the Villager and had occasional corrections for guides.
5. This being a runescape fansite you must have played runescape sometime, do you still play or have you quit?
Well, I try to, but my life has gotten busier these days, which really decreases my activity in both Runescape and Runevillage. I try to at least do my duties and participate in RVET Events and collect Database info when I log in.
6. What would you say is your favourite forum?
The category 'Site Maintenance' obviously xD ...Well, I browse the forum in a weird way. I check the "view your posts" page and if I don't have any replies I check the "View active topics" page, so it's more of a random thing. The Technical Elite (*hi 5s Milo*) and Staff Lounge are cool though...
7. Have you made any good friends while being here?
I hope so...... o_o
8. What do you find most enjoyable about RV?
Blackmage wearing tights. No really, the Runevillage mood.
9. How is life with a blue name different to that with a normal?
I can notice how much I spammed the forum just by looking at the Forum Index...
10. Do you prefer to have all the extra responsibility?
Yes, as long as I can manage it, as in finish my tasks on time and not let others wait too long.
11. If given the chance, would you take up a future roll of staff mod/admin?
If it helps the site, why not? It would definitely give me more flexibility. Though I'd like to achieve the position rather than be granted with it.
