An Audience with Mustangnut and Zilla

Although February 14th (Valentine's Day) passed a few months ago, love is still in the air. I hear you asking Why? Simple. Mustangnut and Zilla, one of the Village's best couples, agreed to let me interview them. The same questions were asked, but I asked them seperately so neither will know what the other said until they read this! Enjoy and remember to Share the Love!

1. Why did you join RuneVillage?
   
   I was training combat in Taverly way back in classic. Someone walked by saying "Go to RuneVillage, the best fansite" or something very close to that. I went to the site and looked around, then joined a few days later. I didn't start posting right away, I just lurked. Slowly, as I became more familiar with the forums, I started posting.
   
   Because it was a site that had good guides and was helpful with runescape.
   
   
2. Where did your name come from?
   
   I am a huge fan of Ford Mustangs. I have used Mustangnut for email addresses, usernames and the like for years before I started playing RuneScape. So, when I found the game, it only made sense... I typed it in and wasn't taken.
   
   Zilla 55 comes from the one of the New York Yankees' outfielders, Hideki Matsui. He is from Japan so his nickname is Godzilla and he wears number 55. He is one of my favorite players because he is very talented but also humble and has a good attitude.
   
   
3. Have you changed because of the responsibilities of being a Mod/Admin?
   
   I think I am more forgiving than I use to be because of my position. I also delegate more than I use to. I use to take on anything and everything that needed to be done.
   
   No not really. I don't post as much on the regular forums sometimes because I am busy modding but other thant that, no.
   
   
4. Do you play/watch any sports?
   
   I like to watch boxing, but don't follow it as much as I use to. I also use to play a lot of sports, but multiple knee injuries prevent me from playing sports any more.
   
   I don't play any sports but I like to watch or listen to baseball. My favorite team is the New York Yankees. I am originally from New York and I grew up watching them with my grandfather and uncle. I also like football (the American kind) and am a Cincinnati Bengals fan.
   
   
5. Who is your best friend on RuneVillage?
   
   I am a loner, always have been. I don't talk to many people, so I don't have a best friend on RuneVillage. (Just to clarify, Zilla, being my wife is my best friend in real life... but I didn't think you wanted me to use her.)
   
   GCSE. He always makes me laugh. We are good friends and have helped each other through some rough things in the last 3 years. I enjoy playing RS with him too but I don't get to do that very often due to the time difference. Trendy is second but I only talk to him on msn now since he is a WOW nub.
   
   
6. Do you listen to the Village Podcast?
   
   Sorry to say, no I don't.

7. Do you read the Villager?
   
   Yes I do.

8. What is your favourite movie and why? (Don’t feel obligated to chose a Chick Flick).
   
   Ronin. It is just a typical guy movie... Hard to say, it has a lot of good actors/actresses, good directing, and a good story line.
   
   Why would I feel obligated to chose a chick flick? My favorite movie...that is hard to choose, there are so many. Frequency is one of my favorites. I guess because I like the idea of being able to talk to someone again who has passed on. I also like Walk the Line. It is the story of Johnny Cash and the problems he had in his life but also about his love for June Carter. Oh and The Princess Bride, that is a classic.
   
   
9. Do you plan on sticking with RuneVillage for a couple more years?
   
   Yes, I plan on staying a long time. Hiker has graciously allowed me to work with this fansite for this long, and if he will continue to allow me, then I will continue to serve.
   
   No, I am quitting right after this interview. Just kidding, of course I am.
   
   
10. What annoys you the most?
    
    Hard to say, I would say that arrogance has to be the thing that annoys me the most. In all of its ugly glory, there is nothing worse.
    
    About RV or in general? Rv only annoys me when it doesn't work. Also, when people are mods or staff but have bad attitudes.
    
    
11. Did you meet your partner before or after joining RuneVillage?
    
    I met Zilla before you were born. We just celebrated being together for 17 years. We have only been married for 13 years, but have known each other of a little longer.

12. How long have you been with them?
    
    *Points to the above answer* We have been together for 17 years. Our first official date was to the movie "Pretty Woman" when it was out in the theaters

13. What is the best thing about them? (If you say ‘Eyes’ I will hurt you).
    
    Her intelligence and sense of humor... and as a bonus, she is a hottie.
    
    The best thing about Mustang is that he is very dependable and responsible. He is good with kids and I think he will be a good father. He also isn't afraid to launch out into the deep and take a chance to do something that he really believes he should do.
    
    
14. What is the worst thing about them?
    
    She is an only child... she never experienced sharing like I did with two older siblings.
    
    Ha! Not answering that one. Do you think I am stupid? - No, but Mustangnut appears to be stupid as he gave me an answer!
    
    
15. What is your favourite car?
    
    A 1968 Shelby KR500 Mustang... by far the coolest car. Also, Carol Shelby teamed with Ford recently to honor that car with a new Shelby GT500

16. Are you looking forward to the birth of your child?
    
    Yeah, will be interesting to see all of the changes that will take place... having a child at 40 will be interesting.
    
    Yes. Duh. Although it will be a huge change and I will have to learn to not be so selfish.
    
    
17. Who has the worst mother-in-law/father-in-law?
    
    My In-laws are great, but I think my parents like Zilla more than they like me...
    
    I love my in-laws, they are great. Mustang will probably say my dad is the worst because he makes him uncomfortable.
    
    
18. Does your partner have good fashion sense?
    
    Yes, she does.
    
    Um...uh...not really. Sorry. - So you wont say his worst thing but then you say that he has no fashion sense. Do you pick out his ties?

20. How would you describe this interview?
    
    Like going to the dentist and having a root canal performed without Novocaine. Just kidding, it was fun.
