An Interview With AppleQuest and A5chow

Although February 14th (Valentine's Day) passed a few months ago, love is still in the air. I hear you asking Why? Simple. A5Chow and Applequest, one of the Village's best couples, agreed to let me interview them. The same questions were asked, but I asked them separately so neither will know what the other said until they read this! Enjoy and remember to Share the Love!

1. Why did you join RuneVillage?
   One day, I was on World 17, killing Moss Giants on Crandor Island when I heard two people arguing over the price of an item. One person goes, "Go check RuneVillage's forums. The price check is the most updated." So I was curious to see these forums. At that time, our Market Stalls were so very active and this is where I began purchasing most of my items. Over time, I had nothing to buy but I was bored, so then I began exploring different aspects of the forum and I got attached to them pretty easily.
   
   My first hearing about RV was when I was stuck on the Biohazard quest and somebody in game recommended it to me for the guides. I was using Tip.it guides before, RV's blew them away. Eventually I clicked the "The Pub" button, and after awhile joined in.
   
   
2. Where did your name come from?
   My original username was Angelic Luck. Before I created A5chow, I was actually myself as a female. I began finding it hard for people to listen to me or take me seriously. I found it different when I created A5chow, under the disguise of being my brother Andy. 'Chow' is my last name, and 'A' is the first initial of Andy. A5chow was my brother's log-in name for his university website. But the funny thing is that 'A5chow' wasn't my first RuneVillage name on this account. It was 'chowchowchow'. Don't ask about that.
   
   Made it up randomly when first joining RS. I knew I needed something good, then it just came to me.
   
   
3. Have you changed because of the responsibilities of being a Mod/Admin?
   My dedication and efforts in participating in RuneVillage has pretty much been constant except for times when I was busy with real life issues. I have always tried setting a good example as a Villager, but I have a bigger impact on the Village as a whole now that I am a moderator. This includes not spamming, participating in events, and being extremely fair to everyone when mediating situations. Moderators also have to be on alert for malicious posts or users.
   
   I think so. Before I was a mod I was trying way too hard to prove I should be one and was kind of a jerk in the process. The same was kind of true to a lesser extent before I was made admin. Now that I’m here I can just try to relax, make friends, and help people.
   
   
4. Do you play/watch any sports?
   I used to play volleyball a lot and even coached for junior girls for a short period of time but I've stopped after my second year in High School. I don't watch any particular sport regularly but I would on occasion, like for the Olympics for example. But now that Applequest is my significant other, I suppose I would be watching basketball and football on a regular basis, haha.
   
   I played football (American) and volleyball in high school. I’ve been playing basketball all my life and its what I love the most. As far as watching goes, basketball and football are my favorites.
   
   
5. Who is your best friend on RuneVillage?
   That would be no other than the magnificent Applequest, who so happens to be my real life best friend as well .

6. Do you listen to the Village Podcast?
   I haven't listened to the earlier ones, but I started recently. It's humorous and I enjoy listening to it.
   
   I used to. Do they even make it anymore?
   
   
7. Do you read the Villager?
   I haven't read every edition but when I do, it's enjoyable to read.
   
   Not as often as I should. When I do its enjoyable though.
   
   
8. What is your favourite movie and why? (Don’t feel obligated to chose a Chick Flick).
   That would be the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. If I had to choose, it would be the Return of the King, the last one.
   
   The Life Aquatic. Wes Anderson is my favorite director, I love the subtle humour. Bill Murray and Owen Wilson are amazing in it. The ending makes me cry too.
   
   
9. Do you plan on sticking with RuneVillage for a couple more years?
   I don't plan on leaving permanently, ever. So yes, of course.
   
   I hope so. I’ve pretty much quit RS but I still love the village.
   
   
10. What annoys you the most?
    Interviewers. Just kidding, . I'd have to say hypocrites.
    
    I would have to say mean people, I just don’t know how you can go through life like that.
    
    
11. Did you meet your partner before or after joining RuneVillage?
    After joining RuneVillage. Weird as this sounds, while I was a male, browsing around The Pub, Applequest had these amazing posts that were intellectual, inspirational, and just really great to read. So I started developing a crush on him way before I revealed myself to him in female form, but I've always told myself that it wouldn't happen given the circumstances. About a year later, what do you know? Applequest moves to Canada for the summer just to be with me.

12. How long have you been with them?
    We reach our 8th month together on April 19th.

13. What is the best thing about them? (If you say ‘Eyes’ I will hurt you).
    What's wrong with saying Eyes? They're the most gorgeous things I've seen. There was one time when Applequest was looking outside the window and the way the light was shining into his eyes was brilliant and beautiful. The colours of his eyes were brought out and they almost shimmered. I'm probably getting too graphical here, and I apologize. But anyway, I'd have to say everything. I love everything about him, his laugh, his smile, his personality, everything.
    
    How she is always so understanding and considerate. Accepts me for who I am. She’s incredibly kind and always trying to help people. And she is absolutely beautiful on top of it all, I don’t know how I got so lucky.
    
    
14. What is the worst thing about them?
    Nothing, lol. Really, I couldn't find anything wrong with him at all. As I've said, I love everything about him. If I really had to choose, it would be the distance.

15. Oranges or Apples?
    I'd automatically choose Apples, but I enjoy Oranges more in terms of eating or in juice form.

16. Are you planning on staying with each other for a long time?
    I plan on spending the rest of my life with him.

17. Which of your partner’s parents are you most scared of?
    I'm not scared of either of them because they are both really wonderful, supportive, and understanding. But I'm least familiar with Apple's dad because I communicate with him the least.
    
    Dad, definitely lol. I just need to get to know him better though. I got to spend more time with her mom, she’s really nice. She bought me a shirt.
    
    
18. Does your partner have good fashion sense?
    I love the way he dresses, yes.
    
    Absolutely. Makes up for my complete lack of it lol.
