The Runevillage Slave Auction

This year a total of 15 slaves were on offer, from some of the best skillers on RV, some high combat players, and even players with 99 stats, thus attracting ferocious bidding wars between Dr Henry, Hoof Noob, Doodle and Iway04. In total 21.74 million Gp was raised through this auction with 7 happy bidders walking away with slaves, including Dr Henry with a record 6 slaves and Doodle buying 4 slaves!!! Dustin walked away this year with the most expensive slave, Red Sox for an eye watering 2.3m Gp for 3 hours in his company, and after losing 4 of his 8 bids, Dr Henry walked away spending a modest 5.65m Gp.

With 21.74 Mill now in the Kitty, this years Runevillage dedication drop party looks set to be the best ever, with Dustin once again showing why he is the real RV master of parties and events. This year’s auction was not without its thrills, with many bids coming down to the final seconds before being recorded. The final results are as follows.

It seems Hoof Noob was not happy with Frogger as his slave, and so he offered to give Dr Henry his slave Frogger and 2.5mil for Znath. Obviously Hoof Noob wanted to spend some special time with Znath and so was willing to pay top dollar for him, somewhere in the region of 4m Gp. What makes things even worse is the Hoof decided to make Znath wear 'a little uniform,' I shudder to think what he is going to have that poor slave doing.

Judging by his sheer generosity, spending so much on slaves in the auction and helping to make this years dedication drop party the best ever, I decided to find out just what our resident doctor had planned for his minions. Kmjhawk and Doodle geared up for a three-hour stint at the Dagganoth Kings, much like Mageman had Dimak do. Dimak actually managed to gain a beserker ring for Mageman, meaning he broke even at the slave auction. Dr Henry also set Tau Xi and Frogger to team mode, as a log cutting/fletching combo, primarily to gain magic exp from High Alching them (the bows not his slaves). With Cueball90 mining coal and Mackerel fishing for him, it seems Henry is really trying to gain the most for his money.
