The Plight of a Villager Edtior

Ahhhhh, the position of being a Villager editor. You get the big office, the comfy chair, and best of all, the red pens. You're looked up to almost to the point of worship, and people don't dare correct you on anything (I guess drawing red eyeliner on dr henry's face last year helped). You get to yell at everyone, including the head honchos. I, with a select group of people, get to make fun of Gamestar for misspelling "practical" in his custom title!

But here's the thing: we're all rather an odd bunch. Those of you who know much about online auctions know about sniping: the practice of making a bid *just* before an auction closes. Villager editors are the indisputable masters of this art. For example, the following postmarks are from richboi0's article in this issue:

The *exact* same minute an article is posted, it's called faster than it can be read. This is the plight of a Villager editor: trying to get an article within the space of a minute. You likely have no idea how hard this is: snipers in auctions use specialized programs made for just that sort of thing. Maybe I should download one and retool it for edit calling.

You'd think our plight would be deciding where to place a comma, whether or not "misspelling" has one S or two, or something along those lines. The truth is, we enjoy those moments, because it's so darned rare to get them.
