John Madden Coming to NBC
John Madden recently announced that he will be joining NBC's Sunday Night Football. He signed a 600 million dollar contract for six years to be the lead analyst for their NFL coverage. The whole idea started when RickEbersol retained the rights for NBC's Sunday Night Football Package. Rick Ebersol met up to discuss this deal in California with John Madden during Mid-May.
John Madden is known for his appearences on ABC's Monday Night Football. John Madden will still stay on ABC's Monday Night Football for one more regualr season. As you might know on ABC John Madden is teamed up with sports analyst Al Michaels. Rick Ebersol has released that he may talk over with Al Michaels after the NBA finals to possibly team him up with John Madden to comment on NBC's network.
As some of you might know, John Madden is well known for his coaching experiances with the Oakland Raiders in the 1970's. He led them to a Super Bowl victory in 1977. He has been a pop culture phenomenon since then; espically since the relese of his video game Madden Football. It has been recognized as the number one selling video game, selling approximately 43 million copies.
I hope John Madden continues his sports casting career for a long time. His comments always seem to be the best and down to earth(getting him to receive 14 sport's emmys). His also has a great personality, which many sports casters lack. I also believe he and Al Michaels make a great team and should be together. I hope this turns out for the best.
