Happy New Year my fellow Villagers!
2007 is upon us, the holidays are over, and everyone here at The Villager is either sleeping it off or enjoying their holiday gifts. The peace and quiet is nice. I can't figure out if it is from the New Year's Eve party/concert I went to or my new Fender guitar that I got for Christmas, but my ears are still ringing. Ah well, I should put the guitar down anyway and clean up from the Christmas party I had. Those dishes in the sink are getting really gross-looking, and I should probably take down my Christmas lights as well. Although, annoying the neighbors with them all year could be fun.

So my friends, now is the time to look forward, embrace the future, make resolutions and, of course, read the latest edition of The Villager. We have lots of great articles in store for you this month!

First of all, well done and thank you to Zilla. You will be seeing a lot more of these as part of a new feature we are trying here at the Villager.

Now, the main reason of my intrusion. As many of you know, Hiker is currently in the hospital. This means that his real life home and business are beginning to fail. Unfortunately, Hiker's real life (hahaha) friends are beginning to lose money, they have no more money left, and the only people they have left to turn to are our Villagers. They aren't asking for much, if you can give $5 that's part of his rent, already paid. If 10 of you guys give $5 that's $50 more that will be paid.
