Interview With Applequest on Future Releases

1. What do you think about the idea of Player Owned houses that JAGeX may be releasing?

I think POH's (Player Owned Houses) have the ability to make or break the game. Done well, it could give RS the added dimension that puts it over the top and could make it an exceptional game. However, if they aren’t done well, lots of people will be disappointed. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

2. What do you think of the newest quests that JAGeX has released?

I have never been a big fan of quests, especially the little ones. I like big quests that give new items and new areas. The little ones are just a pain in my opinion. But hey, I'm not going to argue with 10k Herblore experience.

3. How do you feel about the New Dragon Items already out and also coming out?

I like the dragon items that are cheap and accessible. I would never have a dragon medium, square, or chain because the added armor points aren't worth the price. I would rather sell them and dump the money into Herblore. After all, I am a skill total guy, not a combat guy.

4. What do you think of the idea of Anti-Hacker in game securities (e.g. Bank Passwords, One IP per person etc...)?

I have never been hacked but I know so many people who have and it really upsets me. I get very angry because getting hacked or scammed seems to be "the norm" in RS. It is not and never is ok for somebody to take your things; whether or not they are just pixels. As for added security, I don’t really know how well that will work. It seems that the people are always one step ahead of JAGeX; they always find a way to beat the system. But I would be all for a new system that would actually work.

5. What do you think of The Party Room in Seer's Village, Does it improve or spoil drop parties?

Well, as I write this it is exactly one day until the RV Drop Party. I guess I will have a more formulated opinion after the party but right now, I would say it is a good thing. For one thing, it lets the party-goers see what is going to be dropped so they can't accuse you of stealing (I hope). Another thing is that it just makes the whole drop easier for the host. Instead of walking around dropping things, you just shove it in the chest and pull the lever. And lastly, and most importantly, I just think it makes it more of a party. It is more fun to go to a drop party in the Party Hall than a normal one, especially when it will be jam-packed like the RV Party will be. And everyone likes balloons.
