MLB All Star Game & Homer Run Derby
On July 10th Major Leauge Baseball closed out the first half of the season heading into the three day All Star break. On July 11th they held the Home Run Derby Contest. This year it was a International contest.

Amercian Leauge 7 National Leauge 5 Final
The Amercian Leauge had won once again beating the National Leauge 7-5 at Comercia Park in Detriot, Michigan for the 76th All Star Game. Since the Amercian League had won that gives the right for AL team in the World Series to have Home Field Advantage which I think is a horrible rule. The National Leauge hasen't won the All Star Game since 1996. Al had control of this game up untill the 7th Inning when they lead 7-0. NL scored 2 runs in the 7th, 1 run in the 8th and 2 runs in the 9th.
But New York Yankees Closer, Mariano Rivera, closed out the game getting the save in the 9th as Mark Buehrle with the win and John Smoltz with the loss as the National League just came 2 runs short in there come back in the last three innings. Next year's All Star Game will be at PNC Park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
