Welcome to RuneVillage's new home! Poorshark.com is my web site (home of my webcomic and The Adventures of Jimmy and Crissaegrim, etc.) that I already own and plan on continue owning forever, so it was a perfect place to move RV to once our original hosting ran out. I was able to successfully get everything copied over and working from the original RuneVillage, but if you find something to be missing or broken, please do let me know!

What this means for all of us:

The forums are now permanently at http://www.poorshark.com/ThePub/.
RV's previous homepage and RVChat are now offline for good
Any links in posts that include runevillage.com aren't going to work since they need to be poorshark.com (nevermind, we fixed this one!)

Besides that, I think everything else is essentially the same. We're keeping the RuneVillage domains, and I'm going to try to get them to redirect here for any of those "I pop in once a year" stragglers.

Haha, I guess that's another side effect of the switch.

I always just re-log in each time because the auto-login used to fail me on RV anyway.

Guys, I really think this is what is gonna turn RV around. Now that we have a new domain name, the sky is literally the limit! I nominate Muscy Ape to put in 20 hours a week to create some new content for the site, who else is in??

Not sure if this is sarcasm or a joke. You do remember that this is what we planned, right? It is something that we as a community agreed upon in the "Everyone Read" topic (which was originally meant as a topic about shutting down RV completely). At this point, the only reason we keep RV alive is so that the remaining villagers can keep in touch, and look back on our history. No more steps are being taken to improve the site or attract new users. This is just for us.

I totally agree, and it definitely will.

Jackstick even had it done already, but I asked him to undo it until Monday so that anyone going to RV will see the "We have moved!" topic and not freak out when the main domain is suddenly different.

This sounds like a fantastic idea! Let me push it a step further--we're going to need quest and skill guides, too, so I nominate the quest-slaying duo Applequest and Orangequest to get cracking on that. I seem to recall something they termed "Minecart Madness" with respect to the dwarven quests. You can call your new feature Minecart Madness for old times sake, I don't mind! Just have it on my desk by Monday.
