It's something similar. Seems like he can eventually get a similar version of all his previous abilities... I think.

I quit reading the manga after Ichigo lost his powers, but this totally makes me want to catch up :awesome:

I actually wish I'd have quit reading after that.

Bleach can be really interesting and really good BUT I GET TIRED OF HOW LITTLE KUBO DOES ON A WEEKLY BASIS.

I should start reading manga every 3 months instead of every week.

Actually, I conveniently forget all about Bleach for about 1 month and a half before I read it again. It really is better when you treat it as a monthly release.

Finally, someone tells Ichigo he's training too hard and too fast. Of course, it looks like he was right... Lame. When do we get to see interesting characters? You know, the kind that don't have crazy powers, but win through actual skill?

It takes me about a minute to go through a bleach chapter, and things like one piece sometimes take 5-10 minutes

Honestly, most mangas cover more in one chapter than bleach does in a month

So, I've learned today that the japanese word for strawberry is ichigo.

Now that I know hiragana I've started to learn some vocabulary words, and this one stood out. It's pretty interesting, there's lots of anime characters with names that have a meaning.

This is what Translator's Notes exist for. So I don't have to know Japanese to understand the meanings behind names. :weird:

Eh, Ichigo himself claims his name means "number one protector" or something. No idea how that and strawberry use the same kanji (do they, or is it just a homophone?).

Just a homophone actually.

イチゴ (いちご - ichigo) means strawberry
一護 Is how Ichigo's name is spelled. 一 reads as いち (ichi), and 護 would read as まもる (mamoru) with the japanese pronunciation, but it appears they use the chinese pronunciation, because with that it reads as "ko" or "go".
Either way you're right Tahu, it means something like "number one protector".

Yeah, there was a translator's note saying Ichigo means Strawberry in like... the very first chapter of Bleach. Seriously. One of those punks called Ichigo "Strawberry Head" or something and right below: "T/N: Ichigo means strawberry."
