And I will go on record saying that of the four days I was alive, three of the days ended with me having a vote on one of the three Mafia members. Yep, I voted for all of them. Ape Day 1. Kikori Day 2. Ape to Spark Day 3. Bluecoat to Sparky to Dr Henry Day 4 lol.

"You learn Spirographed is Neutral or Third-Party!"

Both of those words have different connotations, neutral usually being survivor-type roles who just need to survive or something that needs to fill some secondary condition to win that doesn't end the game, while third-party are things like serial killers that have a win condition which ends the game in their sole victory or otherwise directly conflicts with the goals of the Village and/or Mafia.

So I would include both in an investigation to leave it ambigous while still showing you are neither Innocent or Guilty.

I can't believe it worked. I thought for how many points were made on how I wanted to be lynched, it would have failed. I thought for sure the town would go to extreme lengths to avoid any Stung targets being involved in my lynch and this game would go out much, much further. But many props to my partners for turning it around in their favor so smoothly.

I lied a fair bit about my role in order to help it look more like the Venomancer hero it was based off of in a JoaT light. But two things were quite true.

1.) My Poison Sting, whoever had my vote on them for the end of the day, prevented protection in the night. I fibbed about its duration a bit, entirely on accident. The lack of protection only lasts the night it's applied.
2.) Anyone who is both involved with my death (whether a single night kill assailant or everyone in my lynch) AND has had my Poison Sting on them at any in the game time would die. I mis-read exactly when the death happened, but we pretty much saw when it hit. Spiro's invincibility is all that saved him. Bluecoat was the only one in my lynch who had no saving grace and a Sting on his record.

Lander's "Holy Fuzzy Bunny Fuzzy Bunny." made the potential flak received for another 'rage quit' entirely worth it.

I have a lighthearted post to make that I've been waiting AGES for and will probably take me an hour to write, but before that I have two things to get off my chest because I was practically screaming at my computer.

Is no one else bothered by this? Because I certainly am. Seems like a last ditch effort, possibly advised by another mafia member. This implies he was mafia? This has done nothing but both confuse me and make me more sure of this vote.
Yeah, I was very much bothered by this. I was bothered that
1) You haven't played Sonic Adventure 1! But more that:
2) You apparently do ZERO research on what people roleclaim? Seriously, just Google his name and the very first paragraph in the very first result says he was created as an evil robot that betrayed his programming. It's seriously not that hard.

And Sparky's lynch! What kinda crap was THAT? Let me run through this again, please correct me if I missed something:

1) Sparky roleclaims to be a robot with a one-use Investigation, Nightkill, and Roleblock ability.
2) Tennis Ace says: "Sparky, if there is no evidence of you night-killing someone (or at least attempting to) on the next night, I WILL vote to lynch you tomorrow btw."
3) Night 4, Tennis Ace is killed by the Mafia (proof in that it is the same way Jaron died Night 3)
4) Same Night 4, Sighence is attacked by someone with a FRIGGIN LASER BEAM
5) Sighence announces that Sparky and Riptide visited him that night
6) Bluecoat's exact words: "We know, right now, that either Sparky or Riptide is the doctor, and one is mafia."

HOW DID NO ONE PUT 2 AND 2 TOGETHER
The Mafia killed TENNIS ACE
Sparky did EXACTLY as he was asked to do! He attacked someone he thought was Mafia!
And jeez after Sighence started a train on Sparky I was convinced Sighence was Mafia too because that was SUPER DUMB
Did no one on this 6-person train stop and think about who killed Tennis Ace? How the hell was Sparky mafia?
By doing exactly what Tennis requested and using his role it should have cleared him if nothing else!

7) Muscular Ape: "Okay I guess I was completely wrong about SparkyAMS. I very much doubt he is the doctor."

no, riptide was the doctor, sparky didn't even contest that
sparky was what he roleclaimed to be in the first place
srsly

Too much suspicion on you. I thought the mafia would have a detection falsifier of some kind; you'd have been a good choice for it. Instead, I went for those who I thought wouldn't be a target for that.

I thought it was a bad choice at first too but I was suspecting you as a Mafia-claimed-Detective a bit myself. How you completely ignored the Mafia's actual kill and Tennis's request to Sparky (which he fulfilled) when you started the Sparky train just solidified it in my eyes.

Self-protection seemed really off to me, and Lander was almost entirely wrong about everything. I had to find out how honest his errors were. It wasn't my best move in hindsight.

As the mafia, we got really frustrated after the first two kills not happeing.

Also, Musc and Kikori said to kill Jaron. I said to kill Sighence (back when both were only posting pictures). I go with the majority, Sighence claims detective the next day -.-

Okay now for the post I was waiting for. Aragorn said my pictures were "classic Jaron" but in reality it was simply what I termed "Final Volume Nine". Final because it was my last Mafia game, but Volume Nine because that was the playstyle I picked. I've used a different playstyle in each of my last ten Mafia games. (I don't think anyone noticed, but it's surprising how well it worked in what I wanted it to actually achieve.)

First off, the comics were all from Sam and Fuzzy, which is an incredible webcomic and I recommend it wholeheartedly. The point this time was that Sam is the leader of the Ninja Mafia and really, the Ninja Mafia? In a Mafia game? That is too good to pass up. The pictures were always relevant in some way, just like ALL the references I ever make ever. (Musc, the "I don't think that's a good idea either, cat hand" was agreeing with you that I didn't think Thr was Mafia. Sorry if that came off unclear.)

I've never actually been first to die in a Mafia game if I recall correctly, haha. I had SO MANY PICTURES I wanted to use! I had 70 pictures! They were totally planned out for each and every occasion! You guys are jerks for killing me off so early! :P

I've got 57 pictures left that never got posted, so I'm going to post them all anyway so people can (maybe) agree with me that some of them were perfectly suited for situations that actually never got to happen but that I totally planned to happen.

THEY ARE BELOW along with the situation I would have used them in
CLICK FOR FUN TIMES
I PROMISE

Hidden:
I planned to use this like Day 2 or 3 with an immediate vote on someone I thought might be Mafia, but I never found a perfect spot so as to avoid additional suspicion:
Image

...and then if no one joined my lynch train, this would very much apply:
Image

If my own train of thought backfired I could pull the "I did NOT think this through" line (which may have gotten cropped to be its own panel):
Image

If I posted some logic behind my kill somehow and people questioned if they expected me to draw people onto my train:
Image

If that train worked and hit a Mafia, perhaps:
Image

If my train involved a player no one thought was Mafia:
Image

I WANTED TO USE THIS ONE SO BAD YOU GUYS
SO BAD
LATE-GAME PROBABLY
IT WAS EXCELLENT
MANNNNNNN
Image

Aragorn Ix comes back to life:
Image

Ran out of good leads? Post this comic.
Image

"WE SHOULD HAVE KILLED [X]. I TOLD YOU WE SHOULD HAVE KILLED [X]."
Image

Do I want to jump on this train or not?
Image

ALL of this comic is EXACTLY how Mafia works and I was anxious to fit it in somewhere:
Image

This one too. Should we kill the dude or no??? I'M NEVER SURE
Image

You're not Mafia, right? Tell me you're not Mafia.
Image

The first time someone started a good train on me I would've used this one:
Image

As the train progressed this would have also worked:
Image

If the train on me succeeded:
Image

When I jumped on someone else's train (that I may or may not have initially agreed with):
Image

Or this one:
Image

I was really hoping I'd lynch an innocent Villager at some point because this one is too perfect:
Image

I wanted to use this one when someone twisted my intended meanings:
Image

Irrelevant to the game but that's why it was great, because I would still be viewed as active:
Image

Same deal:
Image

Same deal (FURFF):
Image

Slightly more relevant but it still would've been tough to make it fit:
Image

This one only really worked for the last panel. Or maybe if we needed one more vote to lynch.
Image

Detective thing maybe?
Image

We had robots! Lots of robots! This mighta worked!
Image

Perfect for a Mafia game but I didn't know where to fit it in without looking like I'm the one doing the killing:
Image

And again, this is great for being relevant but all it does is imply that I'm against lynching people and that wasn't the case, so it didn't fit:
Image

I wanted to post this one the next time people complained about me posting images, haha:
Image

And again when someone asked if it was a requirement:
Image

Right before someone dies but before the Night phase begins:
Image

Or maybe this one depending on the actual situation:
Image

Perfect for Day 7 intro, as it had that "we are so screwed, kill me" feeling
Image

Perfect for Day 8 (or some other time)
Image

If Monk had gotten roleblocked, I'd have pulled out this one:
Image

Might've fit well in a place where someone claimed they used their role's ability in a bad way:
Image

I just love this strip in general, though I didn't know where it would fit:
Image

I don't know where I would've put this. Something to do with Kikori's role probably.
Image

I would've used this when jumping trains unexpectedly as I am wont to do late game:
Image

I'm not sure this would've fit anywhere:
Image

This would fit in a bunch of places, like Sparky's lynch for example:
Image

I was really hoping for a Village win so I could play this and it would have been relevant:
Image

After a shocking lynch or Night phase, this would be great:
Image

GIANT REVEAL
Image

Finally, a series of reaction/short response images, which are totally needed in a game like this:
Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

This was a ton of fun. Thanks for a good final game, Top. <3

I was thinking I may miss all the fun as I slept. 9am here.

So if we had killed Spiro, we would have won outright? Damn! We weren't to know his protection was only a one-off, though.

Sadface at being killed. In the perfect scenario I had theorised, Henry and I would lynch lander for what would be the win >_> While many had aired their suspicions about me in the game, I think I only ever got one vote, which was from Tennis Ace. So I'm pretty happy with that.

I also think we did pretty damn well considering it wasn't until Night 3 we actually managed to kill someone.

Hahaha. That phase was awesome. I actually pointed all of the above out in my original vote Thr post (Point 1, about his vote for Sighence), but when I saw Henry had posted I cut it, forgot to paste it before I cut something else (You're cut!), and lost the post. I saw Aragorn online, so I started typing it out again. When I hit preview though I saw Aragorn had voted Thr, so I desperately and frantically finished the post as best I could and smashed enter before someone unvoted

I knew Sighence hadn't misled anyone, and went to fairly great lengths to demonstrate that in order to get Thr lynched (my post was originally going to be vote #2 for Thr). It was his passive that fingered Sparky, after all, and Tennis Ace told Sparky to try and kill someone! Thankfully for us, he tried to kill the Detective :awesome:

In my version of events though, I had said Sparky must have tried to kill Sighence because he knew Sighence would be protected, and he wanted to both use his kill and not be responsible for a villager death.

Hey, you wanted to kill Lander instead of Sighence the Night after Kikori had died. I suppose seeing as we didn't outright win and we can't know what would have happened had we killed Lander instead, I can't claim superiority on this one!

Yeah, I really wanted to keep Dr Henry's ability to the point where when we used it, we could just lynch whoever by ourselves, and win the game from it. From my point of view and based on what we knew, I thought very much that lynching Thr was the last challenge.

I'm sure Top will go through all the roles but seeing as my role is the only mafia one that hasn't been explained:

If Dr Henry was lynched while I had a vote on him, I would become Heisenberg; I would take his place as Godfather, become immune to investigations and night-kills.

I completely forgot about the investigations part until I read my PM just now, lol.

no, riptide was the doctor, sparky didn't even contest that
sparky was what he roleclaimed to be in the first place
srsly

Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn. :awesome:

Actually the first time I read that post I thought you thought Sparky had claimed to be a Doctor and I was like "whaaaaaaaaaaat." It wasn't until later that I realized you meant it had to be either him or Riptide and it probably wasn't him. Still pretty horrible reasoning in my opinion, but no one called you on it (and I didn't expect you either) so good job I guess! :P

It wasn't my reasoning, it was borrowed from both Sighence and bluecoat, the latter taking it even further and deducing that one not only had to be the killer but had to be mafia, too. Essentially I was following the Detective's lead like everyone else, and someone who had just been confirmed villager by the Detective. The dichotomy was correct of course, Sighence learned that two people targeted him, one with a kill and one with a protect, and was given two names. Naturally one had to be the doctor, and one had to be the killer - just not a mafia killer. I think they got caught up in the who rather than the why of the kill attempt and I sure as hell wasn't going to correct them! I think that's your point essentially, though? :P

Their posts I just referenced:

I have more breaking news!

First, I present these two lists.

Spirographed
Muscular Ape
Dr Henry
Thr
Kikori

Aragorn Ix
Sighence
Landerpurex
Riptide
Bluecoat

The top list is those who I can't clear.

The bottom list is those who have been cleared, through whatever means. Sparky is absent because he should be too, by the time we use these lists.

See, I left out a small but crucial part of my role: I know the names of those who visit me during the night. I didn't investigate Sparky; I investigated Bluecoat, who is, of course, innocent. Both Sparky and Riptide visited me lat night. Now unless Riptide has been playing us all for days now for this very eventuality, he's confirmed as doctor and Sparky as someone who wanted me dead.

But enough exposition. Let's kill Sparky tonight, of course. At worst I'll be able to categorize one more name from the former list. Anyone with kill powers (sup Kikori), use them on someone on the top list. Note that this will not clear you. Mafia can kill their own, and a free bus like that won't be happening. What you will do is be the final step in ensuring a town victory.

I propose a different strategy.

We know, right now, that either Sparky or Riptide is the doctor, and one is mafia. So do the mafia. Riptide has been claiming doctor for some time, but there is doubt as to his identity, as there always is. The mafia would be dumb to target him until they're in a win situation, because that would immediately mark their member for death the following day.

The village shouldn't risk killing the doctor. Yet. The doctor's safe-ish for now, and I wouldn't be shocked if Riptide is protected in some other way for the duration of the game. Rather than risk losing our doctor, lets go down other names on that top list. The doctor will protect a village member tonight, possibly their self, and the mafia will be forced to risk a different target tonight. That target has the chance of doctor protection since our list is narrowed down.

When two mafia members are down, then I recommend the Sparky/Rip lynch.

Just my two cents.

Thr. I never really quit suspecting you, I just wanted to give you a bit more time to play.

Exactly. Well played; it drove me crazy to watch in silence, lol. I figured someone on that train was a Mafioso sitting back, laughing about how suddenly either Sparky or Riptide HAD to be Mafia despite a dead Tennis Ace practically five feet away. I couldn't believe my eyes. :P

Just as reference for future games, how long did you guys think I was 3rd party for? If at all. Also Ape did you know I was attempting to bait mafia all that time? I really couldn't get you to fall for anything.

What we have learnt, my friends, is that Jaron has WAY too much time on his hands :P

Thr, I didn't think you were third party. I thought you were just being pretty foolish distracting the town in your 'bait mafia' attempt, messing them about and hiding things which just made them look at you and ignore us.
