I visited Quan more often before I got married. Now not nearly as much, especially with him being in Japan for a year. We're due to hang out sometime next weekend.

I hope your move to Washington goes smoothly. How many times did you meet up with Quan during your years in San Diego? I know he was always super excited about having you nearby, haha.

Quan, I might just do that.

Thanks guys, for the congratulations. How is everybody else? Apple, you and Jenny are having a kid, but what else has happened in the past few years?

Well, I don't know where you left off, but Jenny graduated in 2011, then we moved back to Tucson where I got my MBA, graduating in 2013. I've been working since then, and Jenny has been working since we moved out here. Nothing too interesting I guess, but we have our house and nest egg so ready to start a family. :)

You get really good at filtering out everything except genuine feedback. We also look at lots of metrics before written feedback.

It's a neat sort of nostalgia to know that this site is still up so many years later. I only came across it because "Runevillage.com" is still so ingrained in my muscle memory that I began typing it when I wasn't sure what website I wanted to go to.

Anyway, I think it's worth letting everybody know what I've been up to since I last visited this site. I think the last time I legitimately frequented this place was when I was 17, so there's quite a bit to cover.

Today, I am married and have a kid. I met my wife in college in San Diego where I currently live, employed by Daybreak Games (previously Sony Online Entertainment). I am a programmer for them working on H1Z1. While I have spent a decent amount of it is my working on game-code for this project, I am currently the lead dev for all the proprietary tools used by designers and artists. Before working on H1Z1 I was a programmer on Vanguard: Saga of Heroes.

When I got married, Quan was a groomsman of mine. Jeroen (G@mer) was also there, which was crazy. He seriously flew from Dutchy Dutchland ( Netherlands ) to Alaska for my wedding.

My little girl is 11 months old (and a few days). She dances immediately whenever music comes on. Her jam right now is Bruno Mars' Uptown Funk. My wife is convinced she will be a dancer because of this. I'm hoping she picks up programming and game development like Daddy, but I'm not holding my breath.

I'll shortly be moving to Vancouver Washington to be closer to some of my family. I'll still be working at Daybreak, just remotely, where I'll likely be meeting up with Daniel Ackley (bluecoat) at least once. If anybody else is in the area there (or here in SD) and would like to meet up, pm me. Better yet, catch me on twitter (@tloch14) because I'm a lot more likely to see it there.

P.S. Sad to hear about hiker. Despite all the stuff with him, his website and his work originally got me into 3D modeling and ultimately game development.
